Was on holiday with college girlfrends and they discovered I;d  never had a ‘one night stand’ and thought the beach place  we were at would be the perfect venue .. so I let them  arrange it … and we have been married forever  now .

Still never had a’ one night stand’.

We met in grad school. I could not stand him when I first met him! He struck me as an overly charismatic schmoozer. We began to date while taking our final class together, about 3 years after that first class we took. He made a remark in one of our first classes together about how he wants to marry a girl who irons his shirts and picks his outfits out for him, to which I replied with a huge eyeroll. I am now this girl!

I worked with my SO and we used to have a right laugh in 2009 but we lost touch after I left, then in 2012 it was his granny’s 100tn birthday and I seen him briefly. He remembers seeing me, and thinking that I was pretty but I was working so never really got to speak to him, fast forward to last year, I was on POF and I seen his face so I went have a look on FB for him, I added him and we started chatting. after weeks of chatting back and forward we met up and have been together ever since. I like to think it’s was destined.

I’d briefly met my fiancé at my sister and her boyfriend at the time’s flat. I was going out for the night with my sister and he was having a few beers with my sisters now ex. I had noticed him and thought he was nice and him me but that was it as I had a boyfriend at the time. He added me on fb and we exchanged a few messages (nothing bad just what are you up to today sort of thing) but he seemed like a friendly and nice guy but left it at that for a few months (As I had a bf I didn’t want to get too chatty)

Anyway I had known for a quite a while that the boyfriend I had at the time was not good enough for me. I just knew I could do better and then one day he did something stupid it clicked and I split up with him. Anyway not long after I stayed at my sister and her now ex’s flat for a few days. My now fiance and my sisters now ex worked together and one night when I was at theirs after they had finished work, my sisters now ex asked my now fiance if he wanted to come over he said no he better get off home and then he said that I was there and I was now single and he said “well I could come over for a bit!” Haha! Anyway so he came round and we all got a take away and watched a film and slowly throughout the film we got closer on the sofa and by the end we were holding hands! (It was all very exciting!) anyway film ended and I went to bed in my sisters spare room and him on the sofa. We exchanged numbers and then about 2 weeks later we went on a date and here we are engaged 6 years later!

We met online on a free dating site over 10 yrs ago now.  I’m more comfortable telling people than Dh is.

At the time, I lived in an isolated area & was going thru an ugly divorce from my abusive ex.  Definitely not looking for a serious relationship.  I also had another guy to pal around with on week ends, though he thought we were more than friends, no matter how many times I told him otherwise.

Dh just stuck with it, never pressured me.  His patience finally paid off a mere 10 yrs later when I at last agreed to marry him.

Seriously, he stayed steady through one canceled wedding, my nasty divorce & all kinds of ups & downs.  Never wavered.

We went to elementary school together!

I was in 2nd grade, and he was in 4th. We had different recess times because of the grade difference. But since it was a private Christian school, all grades came together Monday mornings for Chapel, and he played drums for the worship songs. That’s how I saw him. I thought he was really cute and cool because he was older and played the drums. The next year when I was in 3rd grade, I wrote/drew a “comic strip” with him in it. I changed schools for 4th grade and didn’t really think about him again. Years later when I was 16 and a junior in high school, I got a friend request from him. I couldn’t believe it! I went to my mom and said, “Look! It’s Jacob from elementary school!” She remembered exactly who he was and remembered how I  thought he was cute back in the day. I thought he was so handsome grown up! And I knew he was a Christian and came from a good family. From there he messaged me and the way we officially met was I had him take me to my youth group.

So long story short, I’d say we met through Facebook. But elementary school has something to do with it. He added me because he recognized my name and thought I was pretty 🙂
