Stayed in, watched a movie, ate snacks. Same thing we do most nights.

We had a relaxing and fun evening at home. We actually dressed up a bit, just for each other.

He just came back from a 6 day trip, so we went to dinner together and then went up to a friends house for a NYE party. It was a great night with good people, good food, drinks, and lots of fireworks.

We went to FI’s uncle’s very awkward (not actual) wedding. The ceremony was awkward (FI’s grandpa officiated and called the bride by the groom’s ex wife’s name), the bride looked out of it/miserable and didn’t talk to anyone the whole time (not that she does anyway), and the food was terrible. We left early and hit up our friends’ house. They normally throw a NYE party, but they got sick and then started feeling better yesterday and cleaned/disinfected their whole house. No one came over except us, but it was nice to catch up with them and look at their wedding photos and then watch the ball drop. We were home and in bed by 1AM. 🙂

DH and I have stayed home the last few years.  After feeling cramped from staying at our parents’ places over Christmas, we enjoy our celebration in our own place.  We make it special with lobster and fondue.

@Reign14:  Coldplay came out from about 9:50-11:15, they had a break until 12, and Jay-Z came on at 12 and went until almost 2. Jay-Z did Lost+ with Coldplay at the end of their set, then Chris Martin did a few songs w/Jay toward the end of his set. Jay came out to “Run This Town” and Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin + kids were all on stage dancing…IDK where Beyonce was, but it was awesome to see!

I went out with my DH and my sister. We had to wait almost an hour for a cab to pick us up to take us to Boston Pizza for a late dinner and some drinks but Boston Pizza was closing up as we got there so the cab driver took us to a local bar and it was closed and he couldn’t take us to another bar because he had another customer waiting! We called my dad and he picked us up because we were outside stranded in the freezing cold! My dad dropped us off at a local Irish pub and the food was great, we were starving by that point! Also the bartender we had serving us went to the same high school as me, so that was kind of neat, we were in the same class in junior high! We overall had a nice New Year’s!

We throw a small house party every year and last night was the same! Fiance is in medical school in a different state, so we try to take advantage of his winter break and spend a ton of time together, especially NYE. It’s super special to us as he asked me to be his girlfriend at our first NYE together (seven years ago)! Though I’m thinking next year we might actually spring for one of those super fancy hotel parties where you have to get all dressed up….

I was too sick to go out, so I stayed home and my husband had to work so he was at our bar all night.  So for the first time we were apart! 🙁

We did the NYC thing a few years ago.

This year we’re in Korea and we went to noraebang (karaoke in a private room) with some friends and watched movies at our house.
