For my fiance family it was around the hoilday season and my fmil was asking us to write a christmas list so I did and added a column for me, a column for my fiance, a column for my dog, and a column for an extra person a baby.

I didn’t do anything special for facebook cause it is just facebook. I think I just wrote santa came early this year and posted pic of my sonogram. I was debating if I wanted to announce on fb or not so I waited until I was sometime in my second trimester.

My fsil got pro pics done with her husband and in a few of the pics they had a pic of the sonogram and says to be open in June 2014. It was cute. If you can afford to get pro pics I would recommend it.

We told our parents by giving them coffee mugs with “Grandma” and “Grandpa” on them (and “Abuela” and “Abuelo” on the ones for my ILs) and a framed ultrasound photo.  Then we posted a belly pic and ultrasound on Facebook around 13 weeks to tell everyone else.

We just told my parents this weekend and we just told them. It’s still pretty early so we didn’t want to wait to get something cute together. They were very excited, so it didn’t need to be fancy.

My FBIL/FSIL announced thier own yesterday. We went over to the parents for dinner and afterwards they siad they brought dessert. Future Brother-In-Law gave everyone a cupcake, starting with his mom which read Nonna, his dad which read Nonno, and then myself and SO which read Zio and Zia respectively. It was such a sweet moment ( no pun intended). I’m pretty sure we alarmed the neighbours with how delighted we were with the news.

We just told our families in person.  For everyone else, I put it in our Christmas cards.  I made a smaller stocking and took a picture of it hung between ours with the caption “This may be our last silent night…”  Then I signed them for us, plus “Baby 6/15”

My sister & her husband were the first people we told (the day after we found out), I said to her “Look what Joe got me for Christmas” and showed her a picture of the test, she cried immediately lol I also did the same thing for my 2 best friends.

For my husband’s dad we just said “We have some exciting news, you’re going to be a grandpa!”

For my parents I got our dog a shirt and went over to their house.. he ran into the house & jumped right into my dad’s lap who started reading it out loud, then stopped and said “you better go show grandma your shirt” My mom cried and went crazy, she’s a tad excited.

And as far as Facebook (we haven’t done it yet.. probably will when I get closer to 12 weeks, I’m 8 now)… I think I’m going to do something like this (I love shoes & my dog, gotta have them involved lol that picture is from Pinterest)

We told our parents/siblings at Christmas. I wrapped up a Grandparent book, a onsie that said 2015 and a little stuffed toy. For both sets of parents, we left the gift until the end and told them to open it together. Of course it was our mom’s who did the honours. Mother-In-Law started to BAWL and didnt take anything out of the box so the rest of the family was wondering WTF was going on. And then my mom lifted the onsie out, managed to say something like “she’s pregnant” and then her and my dad started to cry. I managed to get 10 seconds of video of both parents which is fun to watch!!

As for Facebook, I really want to do what @SoCalLove did with the “My parents are getting me a human” sign. I’m almost 10 weeks now and we’ll announce it on FB around 12-13 weeks.

lolot:  Thanks! I’m still in shock! It totally hasn’t sunk in yet. And I feel like there’s so much to do. Makes me anxiousjust thinking about it! But that’s why god gave us 9 months to get ready! I know you and your husband were thinking about TTC at one point – is that happening? (or just tell me to quit being a nosy biatch)
