I should probably ask Darling Husband about this one. ๐Ÿ˜›

My proposal was actually a huge surprise in front of a lot of our close friends and family who had travelled to be there. My little brother went to the same high school that Darling Husband and I graduated from, so I actually had old high school teachers that knew about it. I was kind of the last to know!

Afterwards I called a few friends and family out of courtesy (they of course already knew because they’d already been invited but couldn’t make it) and then later we posted it to Facebook. ๐Ÿ™‚

I called my closest family and friends, and sent a picture/text of us with “We’re engaged!” to the rest of my good friends.  Then we posted to Facebook.  My parents called the rest of my relatives.

@FutureMrsKap:  We called everyone who was important to us (best friends and closest family) and texted basically everyone else who will be invited to our 50 person wedding before posting it to Facebook a few days later (when we got back from our trip).

We told my parents, his mom and my grandma in person because it was really important to me.  I called my sister and sent a mass text to my dad’s side of the family and close friends.  Then I posted it on facebook to tell the whole world he was going to be my husband.  Then the next I told my mom’s side of the family who live a couple hours away, he was smart and did it the day before we were set to visit them.  So yeah I told people in the way that I could.

We phoned/ texted the people we cared about telling. No big announcement.

Ended up posting something on Facebook a few months later.

We called our families (parents, siblings, grandparents) and texted our closest friends – who, in turn, called us. Then posted to FB a few hours later and let the news spread!

I actually wanted to wait to post anything on FB until at least the next day, but news spread quicker than we thought it would and we were already getting congratulations via FB, so we decided to just make it official.

We called our families (who already knew it was happening), texted a few friends, and then celebrated just the two of us with a fairly extravagant date. We didnt worry about facebook until a couple days later.
