@chrissybee He posted a status on Facebook saying, “SHE SAID YES!!” I shared it, and that was pretty much it. Oh and he later posted a link to the video because everyone kept asking how he did it.

After we told our families and close friends, we just changed our relationship status on Facebook to “Engaged.” Anything more would have been too cheesy for us.

I posted a picture of us right taken after we got engaged where my left hand is on his chest (classic!). The caption is simply, “We’re engaged!”

*sigh* my dad announced it. We asked our parents to wait a day while we told everyone but he made a post a bit too early. We didn’t have any plans other than changing our relationship status on Facebook.

I made sure to call all of my family the day he proposed. My mom couldn’t wait and she posted on fb that evening but, per my request, didn’t tag me in it. The next day we simply changed our relationship status and also posted a single cutesy left hand on FIs chest photo. People were crazy!! I wasn’t going to post right away but I kept getting messages asking if I was okay or changed my mind because it wasn’t on Facebook yet. I wasn’t gonna post a photo of the ring at all but people kept asking so I put one on instagram.

He posted on his IG a couple of minutes AFTER he proposed.  Next day, I posted on my IG.  I don’t post anything on FB anymore since I reserve that for news.  ๐Ÿ™‚

We waited 2 days before posting it on Facebook with a picture of us on the day of the engagement and of the ring : ) I just wrote smth like “I’m the luckiest girl in the world, engaged to the best man in the world : )” I think the facebook community was taken by surprise aha but everyone was happy for us and many said that it was about time lol… (we’d been together 7.5 yrs back then)

I posted a collage of photos with the caption “I can now refer to xxx as my fiancé” and tagged him. He shared it and the rest is history. I haven’t shared photos of ring and I don’t plan too.
