I would just bite the bullet and call her. Get right to the point and make sure you sounds sincere. She is going to be excited and want to do it (even if she does not love you yet) so I would just keep it short and sweet.

It sounds silly, but if you’re nervous, then practice!  Run through what you want to say with someone you trust…that way you can get some of your nerves out of the way.  🙂

And I agree with YellowBee…phone, and short and sweet are good ways to go.  I’m sure she’ll appreciate you asking, and if you do ask genuinelly, I think that’ll be good.  🙂

Hello Mrs. Medina, how is the wedding planning going? I’ll be in Houston during Thanksgiving finalizing vendors. Maybe I can pick your brain for some things?

I’m in the same boat!  What I think I’m going to do is have my BF call Future Sister-In-Law, chat for a while, and then say I want to talk to her.  Then I’ll ask.  It’ll be a good tag-team thing, then.

I don’t know if it will be an option for you, but if you could do it in person (perhaps at a family dinner or something), that would be good.  That will actually be my preference – to ask my Future Sister-In-Law while we’re all at my BF’s parents’ place – but I don’t know if that will happen or not because Future Sister-In-Law is away at college right now.

Just dont get it in your head that asking her will magically make your relationship better.  You dont want to set yourself up for dissapointment.
