Hi Bees,
How did you ask your girls to be part of your bridal party? I would love to do something cute and memorable, but I need some inspiration!
Hi Bees,
How did you ask your girls to be part of your bridal party? I would love to do something cute and memorable, but I need some inspiration!
I have shared this once before, but I made and sent my bridesmaids the puzzles below! Pulled the pieces apart, put them in a large padded envelope, and off they went!
@sdino: So cute!
I made cards on shutterfly of pictures of us, put a heartfelt message on the inside and this poem:
The day, the dress
The bride, the groom
The joy, the tears
Will all come so soon
Professing true love
To my husband-to-be
With family and friends
All watching me
I hope the sun will
Be shining down
Keep your fingers crossed
That I’ll fit my gown
But there‘s one more thing
That there needs to be
And that’s to have you
Standing with me!
For some, I made these…
I made them each a card with a personal note on the back. It took a lot longer than I anticipated since I cut each individual piece out of paper.
I made my bridesmaids a very simple card with a hand written message inside (which took a lot longer than anticipated). Since I’m a big movie fan, I wrapped up two “bridal movies” for each of them for “research purposes”. My Maid/Matron of Honor got “My best friend’s wedding” and “Made of Honor” while the other BMs got “Bridesmaids” and “27 Dresses”. I think that most of their husbands were more excited about “Bridesmaids” than they were.
I gave them each a cute gift bag with a card that said, “There’s one more question to be popped…”
Inside the bag was a custom-labeled bottle of champagne. The girls loved it!
I got my idea online (I can’t for the life of me remember where though…) I made my ladies little packages and labeled them ‘something old’, ‘something new’, ‘something borrowed’ and ‘something blue’, then an envelope with a card inside asking them to be my Maid/Matron of Honor, Bridesmaid full of sappy things 🙂
I made each of them a custom made card with a poem asking them. I hung a necklace with their initial in the card so when it opened it was draped on top of the wording. This photo was after it was opened.
My blog got hacked (again!) and they deleted EVERYTHING this time, so I only have some so-so pictures right now.
Found the idea on Pinterest. I took an unfinished wooden box, painted it ivory with a pale pink inside, and added the letter stickers. I printed off info (which we didn’t have much of at the time, haha) on scrapbooking stock, and printed off some dress ideas and inspiration palettes, then cut them all with scalloped scissors. I tied the info cards together with twine and pink ribbon. She loved it!
My BMs got these:
printed on texturized, pearlized scrapbook stock (and with our names + date), with scalloped edges and pink ribbon strung between each piece.
Mine is still a work in progress, but I’m super excited about it! I’ve been dying to start it, but the end of the semester and those darn things called finals have been stadning in my way.
Every year for Christmas I make penguins out of champagne corks and give them to my friends and family.
Here is what they normally look like:
And here are the ones I made for each of my girls:
Now I just need to find a cute way to package them and write the cards.
these ideas are all so cute! you ladies are so creative. I am thouroughly impressed 🙂
anyone else have suggestions?
