I’ve been sorta dabbling in honeymoon options. I don’t know where to start.
There are a lot of sites online such as cheaphoneymoon.com and Jetsetter.com/honeymoon but I don’t even know which sites are dependable.
Is it better to book with a travel agent or just find the best rates and book on your own?
What we want/need is an affordable destination wedding. I really would like an all inclusive resort of some sort either in Hawaii, St. Lucia, US Virgin Islands etc. I would also like to do a honeymoon registry too.
what did you all use to book your honeymoons? What registry sites did you use in conjunction if any?

I researched, researched, researched and ultimately got the best price at cheapcaribbean.com for our 8-day stay at Couples Negril in Jamaica.

I’m a travel agent, and I got so fed up with planning it myself I turned to one of the companies we use for Ireland/England. I gave him my dates and budget and said “I don’t want to think about it, just book it”.
This is sort of why I think, especially for such a huge trip, travel agents are the way to go. They can sort through all the hotels and destinations and remove a lot of the stress. We also have access to wholesalers that usually is cheaper than what you can find anywhere else, we can sometimes price match, and we have knowledge on the area. Even though it’s my job, I would never ever try to plan it all on my own. It was just too much 🙂

I did a lot of research online as well as PP. I ended up booking our cruise through the carnival cruise website… but I know that’s not a lot of help since your not going on a cruise lol. I think booking online is the easiest/best if you have the time to do the research.

We used a travel agent who has booked our family cruises for years. It worked out great for us.
