I yelled from the bathroom, “OMG COME HERE AND LOOK!” (at the test)

kryssbride :  He was! We were trying, but I didn’t tell him I was going to take the test. It was fun! I am not creative, though, so blurting it out was my only option:)

Still trying but I have a BB8 onesie I’m going to give him. He’s a big Star Wars nerd. Lol

With our first, I found out right before his birthday. I bought a silver baby rattle and wrapped it for him to open on our weekend away. With our second, we had been trying for longer than we anticipated, and I came flying out of the bathroom with the positive test. With our third, I tested in the morning and he was already gone to work. I went out that day and came home with a five person family sculpture. He knew I wanted one, but I didn’t want to buy one until we were done having children, so he noticed it right away.

kryssbride :  I love it. I feel like if it’s in the mail it’s got more of an element of surprise than “Hey I got you a present for no reason…” because he might know what’s up in that case!

I found out the day before Father’s Day, so I got him a kids book called “My Daddy and Me” and I got an ice cream cake and had them write “I’m pregnant” on it. For some reason, he didn’t clue in when he was looking through the book, but then finally got it once he read the cake! The look on his face was priceless!

I understand how this must feel. We lost our baby at 18.5 weeks last year. I got a BFP a few weeks ago. For me it was easy. I told DH I was taking the test and we went in and looked at it together. It’s still weird as we are finding it hard to be happy or count on anything.

I suggest you just tell him. That’s enough. You can both be happy together and take the journey one day at a time. Congratulations. 🙂

kryssbride : We’d been trying for a long time so couldn’t believe my eyes so woke hubby up at 5.30am, switched his bedside light on and put the test in his face
