@Pink Asawa:  I feel the same way!!! I’m about 4 weeks away and I’m experiencing mega anxiety everytime I think about the wedding! I cant even sleep properly at night as I have nigthmares about the wedding and all the things I have to do! I hope some married bees have some good advice for us 🙂

Take time for yourself!  Go out to dinner, take a bubble bath, curl up with a good book, whatever you want to do that isn’t wedding related.

And for wedding related, it calmed my nerves to pull out everything I had for the wedding and my binder of info to be assured that I wasn’t forgetting everything.

Honest truth: Xanax. I’m on Klonopin or Xanax as it is already, I was just on Klonopin and my psychiatrist decided switching me to Xanax again for the meantime would be better than having me on Klonopin.

If you don’t have that, bubble baths and your favorite wine. Plus tune out everything with a favorite playlist or album and headphones. Soak until you shrivel, contemplate draining tub and adding more hot water instead of getting out.

Seriously. You time where you tune everything out. Shut your phone off, no bridal party drama. They’re big girls, they can wait or use common sense and their brains to figure it out. The wine, that’s just to relax, you deserve it.

Chase wedding related thoughts out of your head when you are falling asleep. Focus your brain on something you’re excited for and like to dream about. Also, your wedding will go wonderfully. Any little ‘oops’ moments will be something to laugh at. My husband and I roll around at a few small things. And my SIL trying to disrespect me in particular with her godawful outfit, but it was disrespectful to me, my husband, and my parents who paid for everything as well, we ALL laugh at because she just looks like an idiot and I have photographic proof of how trashy she is now. I laugh, my husband laughs about it my family laughs, my Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law laugh for that reason. Some things are out of your control and that’s life as well, all the planning in the world can’t account for human behavior and anything that might happen will make things memorable. If you’re like I was, you’ll be so lost in “omg omg omg” brain that whatever is around you, you’ll probably be oblivious to or care less about. You’ll just be happy you’re married. 🙂

Relax, don’t worry. It’ll be wonderful and everything that happens will make your wedding more memorable but when it comes to the ceremony, you’ll probably be on a little cloud of your own.

I didn’t sleep much, I took cat naps through my days. Oh, and I was a WRECK especially about a week up to our wedding. Legit cryzilla and snapping left and right. What I’m telling you is what I’d tell myself if I could go back and shake my cryzilla self and snap some “chill, girl, chilllll” into me.
