My fiance and I bought my wedding band yesterday eventhough our wedding isn’t until July. My fiance won’t let me look or even touch my wedding band until the wedding eventhough he let me wear it for an hour after we purchased it. I love my wedding band. I can’t wait until July so I can wear it. I am curious. How did you guys choose your wedding bands? Did you buy online or in stores? This is my wedding band,

Mine looks just like yours! Except it has aquamarine stones to match the ones in my engagement ring. We went to our jeweler so she could match the look.

We bought mine online. My engagement ring has a tad bit of vintage style with the double prongs and basket style. So I wanted to play up the vintage feel by going with a scalloped milgrain diamond band.

My wedding band is the promise ring DH gave me in high school. We went shopping for a wedding band in stores but nothing stood out to me and I liked the sentiment of the promise ring.

We went to the store; tried on like 15 different styles and went with the one we all thought looked best! it really wasnt that hard; i actually knew after about 3 bands; but i just liked trying them all on! 🙂

We bought online. I wanted our rings to match(more than just same metal) so I got FI to pick them out. I love what he chose even though it a not super matchy with my engagement ring.

Back when DH and I got married, we couldn’t afford the band that matched my engagement ring. We were paying for our wedding ourselves and had just started out in our careers, so the budget was a bit tight. I’m sure lots of folks can relate — ha, ha! At that time, I really thought I wanted a matched set. I felt so sad over the whole thing that I didn’t even want to look for wedding bands at all. So DH picked out my band all on his own. He said he wanted me to have something that was a “little bit fancy”, since we couldn’t get the matching band.
And, of course, I loved it! (Even though it didn’t go with my ERing at all — ha, ha!) My original wedding band is the one on top.
I still haven’t located my anniversary ring’s “perfect mate”, although I’ve come to realize that the matching set thing probably isn’t my style these days. I’ve been pairing different things with it to figure out just what style I want. I think I finally have the style pinned down. Now, just a bit more time until I can get it made.

I ordered a bunch of rings online from Blue Nile (probably the most I have ever charged my CC at one time!) and tried them all on with my e-ring. Then I returned the ones I didn’t like. Easy peasy.
I love online shopping because I am lazy, but its frustrating because a lot of jewelry sites don’t post the exact specifications of the rings, especially the height of the band (since I wanted it to sit below my e-ring diamond). Thus my smorgasbord of wedding rings from BN.

DH and I looked in stores, but none of the contoured bands fit it like a glove so we went the custom route. So glad I did because it fits perfectly against my engagement ring and the diamonds are same clarity as my engagemet ring. :).
I also went the prong route to match my ering.

My band was custom made at a jeweler about 30 mins from us.

I love seeing all your wedding bands they are all so pretty. It took 2 days to figure out what band I wanted to get. I looked online and printed out pics of the 2 bands I liked and ended up going with the more expensive band out of the two. I love it so much. I can’t wait to wear it.

Bored6: It was a matching band that was made the same time that my engagement ring was made, though I didn’t get to wear it until wedding day. It has detail on the bottom of the band so we decided to get it done the same time as e-ring so that the design and detail was exact on both rings.

I just bought mine 2 days ago and our wedding isn’t til May so I can relate. I have pink diamonds in my e-ring so asked to look at all the ones with pink diamonds in the band and loved the first one I tried one so they are making it for me, we won’t pick them up for a few months though.

If it makes sense I’ve only ever wanted one kind of wedding band, even thinking about it as a kid. It’s a very common style so we just strolled into the Zales outlet and I chose from 3 different size options.

I tried on so many bands and didn’t find anything I like. Hated the mismatched look with my ring as even though channel set is easy to find in stores they were all too wide or ha too much metal showing on the side. So we did what my husband said we should have done from the start and that’s get it custom made to exact specs from the jeweller that made my ering.
