I would never go for a pink color scheme if it was for something that was supposed to represent us as a couple.

But if my Fiance wanted to use pink for her shower theme or something, I’d be fine with that!

My favourite colour is pink and has been pink for my entire life.

When we moved in together I had to get rid of my pink decor stuff but for some reason he is totally OK with pink being in our wedding colours. Pink isn’t going to be overwhelming in our wedding though – our colours are pink, silver/grey and white. The flowers will be pink and the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses but that is about it. He wants to be the only guy with a pink tie and a pink boutonniere so that he will stand out but that was his choice and he often wears pink shirts and pink ties – because of me – but he likes them now!

haha my Fiance wears pink & purple shirts and ties… what are you saying? (I’m just joshing you!)

My Fiance does wear those colors to work, but I still don’t think I could sell him on a pink themed wedding. I think your best bet is to use pink as an accent color so he doesn’t get overwhelmed with the color! 🙂

i don’t think it was even discussed! i think that was something that was just known from the beginning. there are many things that i comprimised, but my pink just isn’t one of them, and he gets that. plus, colors really aren’t his thing anyway. he’s color blind.

Mr. KM wears pink! And it cracks me up, because no one else I’ve ever dated would wear it! Too fun!

Fiance REFUSED to have a pink spring wedding! Absolutely refused! My favorite color is yellow, and I love pink roses! He was not having it! The pink or the yellow! After arguing about the colors for months (and since he hasn’t gotten to choose anything for the wedding) he was going to pick out his tux with his groomsmen. I told him to pick whatever color he wanted. He picked a really pretty burgundy color called wine, and it ties in with our venues so perfectly. He was very happy that he got to choose and I am too. Sometimes I let the wedding get to my head and don’t think of what he would want at all, so it felt good for me to let him have that decision. And I am really happy about the color he picked! Sorry…lol I’m rambling. But he’s really happy about it and I think it is sooo cute. Since I’ve done that he has also been alot more into the planning which gives me a break sometimes!

How about suggesting a soft shade of pink, like blush.  Also, I was able to get Mister on board with blush as one of our colors because it will only be hints of pink throughout the ceremony and reception decor.  I think men will be okay with a little pink; but too much is just not manly.

My fiance has given me carte blanche to do whatever I want, so if I wanted pink, it wouldn’t be a problem; however, you could put some black ribbon with a rhinestone slide on the the invites. that would make them a little more guyish; not the rhinestones, but the black ribbon.

I never tried because I’m not a pink girl, but I doubt he would have complained at all if I’d suggested pink flowers. Pink everything else might have been a little harder… one of my BMs got pink in her wedding by just letting them each pick a color (they ended up with a pink and green wedding–her color and his!).
