Bees, tomorrow is my big day and I’m sh*ttin’ bricks! I mean I am SOOO nervous. I can’t get my stomach to settle and every time I think about it I get butterflies that are more the size of bald eagles. It’s not the marriage I’m nervous about, it’s the actual wedding part. How did you calm your nerves on your big day?

Awww hopefully it’s excited nerves and not flat-out stress! Lol at the bald eagles though.
Not married yet but we just had our big engagement party and I was definitely nervous for that. The worst part was when we were all dressed and ready but still had to wait around in our hotel room for a little bit before the party started. But once we got rolling, time just started flying by and there was nothing to do but sit back, and try to take it all in! All the nerves disappeared.
Good luck and enjoy every minute.

I was so calm and just happy because I knew I was marrying my husband…and would be having a fun party after. Just focus on that! It’ll be great. Congrats ahead of time!

I had a whole range of emotions. I was happy and excited about finally marrying my dream man. I was anxious/nervous because I wanted everything to go well and there was still so much to do in so little time. I was sad because all I wanted to do was see my husband and just cuddle him forever. I was angry because no one would let me see him lol. I was stressed because I had to set up our backyard reception while the girls were getting their hair/makeup done, and people showed up late, others weren’t co-operating, the hair/makeup artist was stressing herself out therefore stressing me out…THEN MY DRESS DIDN’T FIT!!
Now that I think of it, my nerves were calmed by my new 11 year old niece. She just played with my hair, and that calmed me down 🙂

The night before I was fine until I was alone with Darling Husband. (We spent the night together.) Then I got SO nervous! Darling Husband and I talked about a few things that we had to remember or what could go wrong and I got really worried!
I was crazy until the morning of when I finally made an effort to stop, breathe and think about how much I loved Darling Husband. After that I stopped letting myself get overwhelmed and just took it one step at a time – first lunch, then hair, then make-up, then photos, etc.

I did freak out some. I didn’t think I would, but I was nervous. I was scared of the unknown, scared of making a new choice, scared he might change his mind, scared marriage would turn out to be a bad choice, scared marriage would change our relationship for the worst. But it was all the opposite. Everything was fine and I think we are closer and more stable in many ways than we have ever been. I had nothing to worry about.

@rcac1208: I’ll be honest… I had a shot and it calmed me enough to get up the aisle. Once I was with Darling Husband I held on to him and didn’t let go. That kept me calm then. Enjoy!! It’s an amazing time!!!

@rcac1208: i was so nervous the night before and day of my wedding. To the point where i made myself sick.
I was nervous bc of walking down the aisle and having all eyes on me.
I relaxed a bit when i got to the salon to do my hair and makeup. They had a breakfast platter for us ans mimosas! I had about 3 mimosas in 3 hrs. Lol
Then we got home, waited for the photographers to come, chilled out with my BMs, my mom, sister and aunt. I was relaxed at this point. Then i got dressed to take pictures and the nerves started up again when we were leaving to go to the church.
I was shaking, i stayed in the limo with just my mom until we knew that my Darling Husband was in the church bc i got there before him. I spotted him crossing the street and I suddenly felt better. I was nervpus for no reason.
Just enjoy the day bc it goes by so fast. I can tell you dont be nervous, but no matter what you will be. CONGRATS

Thank you ladies for all of your input! The day has finally arrived! Fiance and I woke up a little later than usual, enjoyed a coffee together, and watched Christmas With the Kranks LOL! Our ceremony doesn’t start until 6pm so I’m leaving later than most brides to get ready. It has been surprising calm so far; we tried to keep things as normal as possible. Now, when I start to get ready things might change! LOL!
