I had 6 BMs. 3 wore mint green, and the other 3 wore light blue. So, starting with my Maid/Matron of Honor by my side, I just had them go by every other color. For the GMs, we did the Best Man next to my husband, obviously, and then put them in height order, with the tallest next to the Best Man. It turned out looking great in pictures.

We had 5 on each side and we weren’t sure about the order so we made some really random decisions lol. We ended up doing:

1. Maid/Matron of Honor & Best Man

2. Our “2nd” in line – my BFF and DH’s next closest friend (also happen to be the tallest on each side)

3. We paired this couple bc my friend has the same hair color as the groomsman’s wife (LOL)

4. My loud friend and my quiet brother (we hoped they might even each other out)

5. Our 2 single friends

I also made sure that the similar dresses weren’t directly next to each other since we did mismatched gowns. Since going by height ensured that the dresses looked good we did that lol

I have a Maid/Matron of Honor, 2 bridesmaids and a junior bridesmaid (who, at this stage, is happy to walk down the aisle but doesn’t want to stand at the front – she has anxiety amongst other behavioural issues, so it’s just easier to let her do whatever she’s comfortable with). Fiance has 3 groomsmen, but no best man (he couldn’t choose between them lol).

Fiance is arranging his guys by height, so it’ll go – Groomsmen1 (my sister’s long-term boyfriend – he and Fiance have become very close, which is lovely as he has no brothers), Groomsmen2 (FI’s best friend), and Groomsmen3 (a very close friend of both Fiance and I, who also happens to be dating my best friend).

I actually don’t know how I came up with this order for my girls; they’re all of a similar height so that option was out lol – Maid/Matron of Honor (my sister), Bridesmaid or Best Man1 (one of my FSILs; Fiance has 3 sisters and he didn’t want me to ask any of them, but I wanted his family to be represented so we compromised by asking the sister whom we are both closest with), and Bridesmaid or Best Man2 (my best friend).

We came up with our “orders” separately and couldn’t help but laugh when we realised that my sister and her boyfriend as well as my best friend and her boyfriend would actually end up being partnered lol. If my other sister (the junior bridesmaid) does decide to stand at the front, I think she’ll hop onto the end so that she’s not front and centre.

we have mixed bridesmaid dress colours.. (neutrel colours), i didnt tell them the order, just decided to show them the colours that i picked.. and they picked the colour that they wanted to wear and then they picked out a dress of their choice in that colour that they chose. if i wasnt going to do it that way.. my plan was to do who i knew for the longest to the most recent Maid/Matron of Honor first of course
