I had a really hard time with this too, so I’ll chime in. I decided since my nails were rather short to get rounded more natural looking acrylics. I never wear acrylics, but I figured engagement pictures usually have some pictures focusing on the ring and I wanted them to look presentable. I had them painted in OPI “taupe-less beach.” I figured a neutral natural looking nail would never look fad-ish in the future. They ended up looking good in the pictures. They didn’t stand out but looked nice which is exactly what I wanted! ๐Ÿ™‚ Best of luck with your pictures, bee!!

I just got a regular manicure (no acrylics or anything like that). I’m not a fan of acrylics though.

I did my nails quickly in the car on the way to the photography site. I’m such a slacker I totally forgot! (Did the exact same thing for our couple’s shower and my bridal shower). I quickly slapped one coat of a light pink neutral color on and it blended really well with our pictures and didn’t stand out (Which was my goal)

after multiple rounds of gel totally wore away at my nails, i decided on a pale white/cream-ish color.  sorry i don’t have any pics (…yet) but my thought was that I didn’t want to draw attention to them, I didn’t want to distract from any closeups on the ring, and neutral would go with any outfit change I decided on.  And since it was just a simple nude basic nail polish, I did them myself the ngiht before

I’m going to get a shellac manicure in a dark fallish colour. My e-pics are next week as well!

This is really our only photo where you can see my nails in colour lol and I had to zoom in.

I did DIY gel nails (got a light on Amazon for $36) and painted them with Samoan Sand by OPI.

I wanted mine to be fun and match our colors, navy and khaki (for surf and sand as the ceremony is on a beach).

its been years since I had fake nails – they’re not really me and I type hard at work so I had gel polish put over my real nails several of which were acceptably long.

I had our wedding date written across three nails.

We are still waiting for our engagement photos back and none of the teasers are nail close ups so here is one I snapped with my phone

I did a light pink. It didn’t distract from the ring (french nails stand out too much, IMO).
