I’m just curious! I was deadstuck on the idea of having teal as the dominant color and purple and silver as accent colors..I wouldn’t check out any designers or stores that didn’t carry teal…until my mom convinced me to keep an open mind and check out DB…and I fell in love with Sangria..and now, my colors are sangria and gold! Complete 180-degree change but I love my new colors! Would love to know everyone’s colors and how you ended up with them!

Ours was a deep red as well, with hints of blue and amber around the room. We loved that red color (it was a mutual decision) and blue is DH’s favorite color. Amber came with the venue, so we ran with it.

I focused the wedding around my favorite color… green! Since I knew I wanted green and it was a theater venue I went with a forest like color scheme and had brown, green, white and gold.

Fiance loves Blue, and I wanted a girly color and we both wanted something modern, so we went with navy blue and pale yellow, with accents of gray

Purple has been my favorite color since birth. I almost left the house yesterday in purple running shorts and a purple sweater before I came to my senses. No question what the main color will be!

I love green and he loves slate blue. I love the crispness of black and white so that’s how we got our four colors ๐

We went with black and ivory — We also wanted to add a winter color so we added cobalt blue. And we needed to include metallics (jewelry, etc) so we chose both silver and gold. Were going for a classy crisp winter chic!

Mine are also going to be blues and purples. I’m thinking more royal tones. Also a fun little fact, amethyst and blue topaz are my two bridesmaids birthstones, so it matches. I’ll be getting them birthstone necklaces to wear.

I wanted colors that were bright and reminded me of spring. Other than that I had no idea so I started looking at pictures of flowers. All I knew was absolutely no pink. I found a bouquet with really pretty blue and purple flowers and fell in love. That picture pretty much decided the colors for my wedding. I started looking for other inspiration pictures that match those flowers.

I was with my husband..at a random store just looking at random things..and I saw these really pretty vases and I had to have one. And he asked me, “Do you want these for the wedding?” And I thought they’d be perfect..so they came in 3 different colors. Pink, blue, and green..and that’s how we chose our’s. It was the first things we bought for the wedding, I was worried they wouldn’t look good together..but they turned out nice. ๐

I wanted deep jewel tones since our wedding was in MN winter, but also something cheery and bright so that winter didn’t win. I chose my favorite (teal), he chose his favorite (blue), and then I went to DB and bought 3 complimentary color swatches I liked and let him select the accent color- purple, for the Vikings :-p Blehk! Thankfully I love peacocks, and I did well keeping all yellow accents OUT of our wedding. Go Pack ๐

Truthfully, my bridesmaids were larger ladies (size 20 an 30) so whatever dresses I could find in this size in whatever colour (found a lovely dark purple) was exactly where I was going with my colour scheme. It worked out great and we had a purple and silver theme.
