I posted a thread asking if people regretted not having a videographer and some people said no because they hate being video taped. I don’t really have much experience with that since my family was never big on home movies. Did anyone have a videographer and feel uncomfortable when they didn’t expect to?

I’m super uncomfortable being taped, but I didn’t feel that way at all around my videographer. They were just there to capture the events and emotions of the day — they didn’t stage anything and they weren’t invasive at all. I think that was one of the joys of working with pros. They know what they’re doing, and they know how to help you feel natural.
In my experience, a professional videographer is VERY different than my husband’s aunt sticking a videocamera in your face at every family get-together. 😉

There was only one time I really noticed the videographer, and that was when I was walking down the aisle. Between the Videog, Photog, and guests all snapping/flashing away I just kept thinking “Wow, this must be what celebrities feel like… Oops, I should remember to smile at least once and not look all nervous!”
The rest of the time I barely knew he was there. Maybe just a bit while dancing at the reception, but it certainly didn’t bother me.
I guess the answer to your question is, not really.
