I was googling for some advice about being a bridesmaid, links popped up to the forum (with my questions answered!) and here I am. Lurked for ages before making an account which I made when my SO and I started talking wedding bells.

dreeceves : That’s how I found it too! Turns out the bee is a great source of information for non-diamond engagement rings!
I stick around because it’s so entertaining (most days). It’s really awesome to read other people’s perspectives on posted situations. It’s also really fun to see read some of the ludicrous things people share on the internet lol.

TheGridMonster : That’s so cool! You’ve actually met someone in person that you’ve met on the bee? How was that?

I became engaged (he proposed with a gorgeous sapphire!) and I was curious about size comparisons between sapphires and same carat weight diamonds (since sapphires and diamonds have different densities) so I looked for pics of rings on fingers of various sizes and gems and came across a bunch of threads here. I joined and mostly lurk. Was pleasantly surprised that no one had taken ‘MacBride’ as a user name – was my grandmother’s maiden name and also a good double entendres for a name here.

PrincessPeach13 : We haven’t yet (but I can’t wait until we do!). She’s across the country from me for now, getting way too many texts of pics/videos of my baby lol. 🤭
On the topic of meeting bees in person though, I’ve always thought it’d be cool to do bee meetups!

I was looking for pictures of bezel set pear rings. MrsCassie’s pear came up and led me to the bee.

I think I Googled something like wedding planning ideas or something like that and the bee popped up in my search. This was…maybe 6 years ago? I had just got engaged to my ex-husband. I drifted off but came back a few months ago to lurk/join the waiting list. I’ve been planning to an extent my future wedding, but haven’t posted anything on the bee about it yet. For now I just chime in on advice lol.

I found it googling different relationship questions. It kept coming up and then I found I really enjoyed the topics wedding and not wedding related. I’m in a serious relationship, but not engaged. I have the go ahead to propose when I’m ready though . (I should put HIS name on the waiting list!).

I was googling the latest diamond simulants, having my 20th wedding anniversary coming up and was wanting some sparklies for that. Discovered moissanite and never looked back. Love the Rings thread because I love sparklies. I also really love anything wedding related, so I stuck around. Doesn’t matter to me I’m married I still love to look at dresses, and flowers etc.

It was around the time my SO and I first started talking about what our future wedding was going to be like. I was curious about real weddings (not just Pinterest weddings), so I googled something about real wedding recaps or something like that and came across the Weddingbee.

heihei13 : I think I found it for rings originally? Not really sure. I got more active when I was TTC and going through IVF, and now I stick around for the mommy advice.
