I found our photographer just by doing a google search while looking for someone to photograph an event I was coordinating. She specialized in weddings, so we didn’t hire her for the event, but even after three years, I remembered her photographs, and wanted to book her immediately for our own wedding, and we did 🙂 She’s always been my dream photographer, and it was the one thing we splurged on.

I found one through Craiglist- however, I placed a post here on weddingbee with my specifications on budget etc & I got referrals from fellow bees & actually some direct photographer postings – I am hoping to meet one this upcoming week & hopefully sign her up!

I did a yellowbook search online.  I just looked at their portfolios since I knew I wanted something more contemporary.  They won me over when they said, "We don’t photograph models so we don’t expect you to pose like one.  Be yourself!"

KatieBug, my photographer found me on Myspace 3 1/2 years ago.  He was expanding his portfolio & wanted to shoot me.  A dozen photoshoots later, he & his fiance are my Fiance & my best friends.  We wanted him to be in our wedding, so I shopped around for other photographers, but couldn’t find anyone that I liked as much.  He’s just such an amazing photographer!

We decided to just do it all!  His Fiance is my Maid/Matron of Honor & he is my FI’s Best Man…and photographer.  It should be interesting to say the least!

I found my photographer (and 3 other vendors) thanks to reccomendations from the ladies on my local board on the Knot. They’re very helpful!

Our photographer is our best man’s brother. We got extremely lucky because he is giving us a great deal.

A few years ago, one of my FI’s co-workers brought in their beautiful hardcover wedding photo album.  Fiance who is not easily impressed was in awe and years after when we got engaged, we did some online searches but already had our mind set on the photographer!
