I plan on us being announced as “Mr & Mrs Baxter”.

I will be taking his surname, but I don’t want to be announced by his first name also.

BaxterBride:  I think he said Mr & Mrs Zach last name, but I’m not 100% sure. The whole day was a blur!

Didn’t do it. I’ve heard too many bandleaders/MCs/DJS announce people like the ringmaster at a circus, yelling at the top of their lungs. Definitely not for me. We had no grand entrance, either.

Neither, because I’m not taking his name. I don’t think I want us to be announced at the end of the ceremony, but I will work with the officiant on what she thinks. For the entrance into reception I do want to be announced but it will just be “for the first time as husband and wife, First name and First name!” or something.

mrsfiddlesticks:  “Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Ginger Taffy” is how we were announced. I hyphenated my last name but didn’t want Mr. and Ms. Joe Taffy and Ginger Taffy-Quacker.

The “Mr & Mrs Joe Taffy” thing is a blast from the past. You are your own person (obvs). You should be able to have your name stated too. Pastor needs to get with it! 🙂

mrsfiddlesticks:  I did Mr. and Mrs. [His Full Name] but that’s because it’s what I wanted. You do you and if your pastor won’t agree find someone else to perform the ceremony!
