Soft cups, mucinex and preseed got us pregnant the first cycle we used all 3 together.

Look up “sperm meets egg plan” and “trifecta of getting pregnant” (the person before me already mentioned it). I had been trying for 3 months just having sex when my OPK was positive, and the 4th month I followed those two plans and got pregnant. It was a lot of work that month, but it worked for me.

I got pregnant 2 months in a row (I had a miscarriage). Both times I used OPKs and after sex I put my legs up the wall and laid there for about ten minutes. I know this is just an old wives tale, but it worked for me. I also drank red raseberry leaf tea.

well.. I used OPKs and temping to predict O.. some cycles I didn’t temp, but most I did.

I started going to accupuncture after 6 or 7 months without luck, and got pregnant twice in the subsequent 7 or 8 months.. maybe it helped, maybe it didn’t.  (Second one stuck! 6 months preggo atm)

Um what else… I took myo-inositol because some other women said it helped with hypothyroidism and PCOS–neither of which I have but I have a lot of symptoms that make me test for both frequently, so I hoped I could treat the symptoms.  My RE, when I eventually saw one, said it was fine for me to keep taking it.

I tried eating super healthy, I tried doing more expercise, I tried doing less, I tried cutting out all alcohol, so on and so on.

Here are the funny random things both cycles I got pregnant had in common:

1. I was one or two time-zones west around implantation (6-10 dpo).  First time in Anchorage (for work), second time in Kona (for vacation).

2. I let loose with the intoxicants… I had a puff or two of marijuana the cycle when I got my first positive pregnancy test (a week or two before ovulation), I drank lots of fruity drinks the second time (right around implantation).

And um, that’s kind of it.  Everything else (OPK; temp; acupuncture; BD ED/EOD; moxa sticks; etc) I did lots of cycles that didn’t work.

I had no idea when I typically ovulated, as it was my first cycle off the pill. I took my temperature, monitored cervical fluid and used cheap opks. From memory we did the deed O-5, O-3 and O-1 and one of them was successful. I used both fertility friend and ovia apps, but found fertility friend better.

I briefly tried OPKs but gave up quickly- my cycles were LONG off birth control. I would have been taking one every day for 7.5 weeks before getting a positive on my first cycle trying (that first one was 11 weeks long!). We had sex every day until I got pregnant the second time. We started trying on Memorial weekend. I conceived on Thanksgiving night. I’m still tired and this was in 2014.

(The first time we also had sex close to every day, but also had just gotten married. And it  took 2 relatively normal cycles).

We stopped preventing June 2015; I started using my app (Ovia), temping and using OPKs in Sept 2015. My friend used Clearblue ovulation predictor and got pregnant that month, but I didn’t want to spend the money. I kept reading online about how Preseed is supposed to be helpful. So in March after a negative test, I bought the Clearblue predictor (the 4 day window one) and Pre-seed and was promptly pregnant my next cycle in April. Idk if preseed helped but my app and my own thinking was off by DAYS on my ovulation. My app had me at day 16, which was when I would feel the cramping. However, I wasn’t O’ing until day 19 -20 (at least the cycle I conceived). I always felt like I couldn’t 100% tell with the regular OPKs if it was positive or not and temping was a lot of work. We are currently trying for #2 and I’ll be using my Clearblue again this week for the first time so we’ll see how that goes! Good luck to you!

missviolet92 :  About 60% of women get pregnant by the end of the third cycle, so 2-3 is the median time to pregnancy.

the average time to get pregnant is more than that since no one can take less than 1 but how much longer than 3 you can take is.. a lot.  I wouldn’t worry much about the average when talking about time to pregnancy, as its not a very informative statistic when you have such a heavy skew.

I used a cycle charting app, and had sex for a few days in a row as soon as I noticed the start of EWCM.

lifeisbeeutiful :  I may try this if we aren’t successful this cycle! I already use softcups for my period and have been looking into preseed.
