Insanity Max 30 and healthy eating! I use portion control.  i still made sure I ate carbs, as your body needs those to function properly and get in the best shape ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve always been thin, but not really toned, so I started running, doing pilates, and jillian michaels videos (I work out 5-6 days a week, but only for 30-60 min a day), and I started eating really clean, meaning very little processed foods. I try to do 80/20. I eat good for 80% of my diet and use 20% of my calories for less good things. When I get closer to the wedding I’ll probably kick it up a notch, but I don’t want to burn myself out.

I ate 1200 calories a day, 1500 on weekends- mostly vegan. No wheat. I logged on my fitness pal and adjusted my macros to their recommendations which really helped (I wasnt eating enough carbs! So I added in oatmeal, brown rice, more fruit). I worked out a TON, including strength training. No days off (some days just a long walk though).

It took a lot of discipline, but all and all I lost 18 lbs. I know that doesnt sound like a lot haha but they were very stubborn pounds! And I had a sexy shape from the muscles. Now Im inspired to maintain that. (okay, within 5 lbs of that).

I feel like I’ve talked Whole30 to death on these forums, but I really recommend it! I did it for entirely superficial reasons but I can’t imagine going back to my old eating habits before. I’ve lost close to 15 lbs – from 137-138 to around 125 on my 5’1 frame.

I eat real, whole foods and my dietary restrictions remove dairy, eggs, pork, oats, and gluten so as it is, eating healthy within those limitations leaves me with fewer temptations. Soda is a downfall that I am working on and have recently vowed off (1.5 months to go). I am about ready to nix sugar all together as it makes me feel so run down and the stress of the planning and work is already wearing on my body.

Just eat whole foods, vow off processed foods and restaurants as much as possible. Stick to meals with only ingredients you can manage to make and pronounce.

reee:  I didn’t change the way I ate (well, I made healthier choices but nothing drastic) BUT I ate until I was no longer hungry instead of full- which was different. It was hard and I did have to eat a little more often. Also lots of walking and hiking along with my normal strength workouts to burn more calories. I was in good shape and at a healthy weight but I wanted to look extra good for our Hawaii wedding! I only did that for about 6 weeks leading up to our wedding. Best of luck!

The Keto diet is where it’s at. The weight seems to come off really easily, and the food is so tasty.

Hiring a trainer and working out with him three times a week helped. Weight training made a huge difference and it really showed in my arms/shoulders/back.

I was also more careful with what I ate. Lots of salmon tartare and little bread/rice/carbs.

Working out 5-6 days a week. I also have 2 dogs so we go walking a lot, maybe not so much now that winter is coming. I use a variety of Jillian Michael’s DVD’s and just work out at home. So far I have lost 16 pounds & 16″ off my body from May to Nov I did this. I also like to use weights with my works outs. Anywhere from 3 to 8 pounds. It helps!

MrsMore14:  I’m on Day 22 of my first Whole 30 and as you know that means I haven’t weighed myself yet. However, my clothes are fitting way better and my energy is through the roof…can’t believe how amazing I feel and the best part…the reason why I started the Whole 30 in the first place, my hormonal acne is completely gone….I’ve got baby smoothe skin again for the first time in years, wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!

I did 21 day fix and 21 day fix extreme before my wedding and it helped me lose weight and tone after I lose my goal – for the first time in my life I was comfortable in a bikini on my honeymoon and that was one of my main goals going into it ๐Ÿ™‚
