We are fishkeepers and I had a topper custom made for our cake.

Our cake topper is a bride and groom with 3 dogs and a cat.  It represents them since they aren’t able to be there.

slyfox4 :  we had a pretty casual event which went on for several days overall. The dog was around for most of it but we didn’t allow him at the ceremony… it was wet and he makes bad decisions about what he should roll in 😛 He was in photos that we took on other days, but not in our wedding photos as he wasn’t the one getting married. Didn’t even cross my mind.

We did a custom cake topper, as well as had them included in all art I commissioned. Examples: we had lawn games, and I had a custom corn hole set designed with us and them on it; I had a watercolor portrait artist create watercolor portrait favors for our guests, and prior to her arrival she did one of my husband and I and one of our dogs, which were on display at the wedding; Id commissioned a “Story of Us” watercolor map that also included them (this was on display, and also was the back of our programs); the reading we included was “Why Falling in Love is like Owning a Dog”

Example of cornhole, though the art we got was much more detailed:

I got my husband custom socks from DivvyUp that had our cats actual faces on them! I would post a photo but they are packed right now, they are adorable!

We were lucky to get married in a pet-loving church, so my family’s dogs were actually in the wedding. My mom and dad’s bulldog was our ring bearer (we tied the rings to his collar with some ribbon from my mom’s wedding dress) and my family’s boxer was our flower girl (we hot glued sunflowers, my wedding florals, to her collar). During the wedding, the bulldog stood up front with us and the rest of our groomsmen and the boxer stood up front with the rest of the bridesmaids.

We named our signature drink after our pup, and took pics with her during our first look. Our venue also didn’t allow dogs so it was a good way to include her in the day!

Our dog was allowed at the ceremony and walked down the aisle with my mom. She was so excited when she saw my husband it was the cutest thing. We took pictures with her right after the ceremony and then she went to my moms house. We also had a custom cake topper that had our dog and two cats.
