My heart skipped a beat when I saw it.  I’d already upgraded to my diamond engagement ring, although it needed a little work from a jeweler (I wanted to replace the head because I didn’t like the prongs, wanted a slightly larger stone, etc.) because we got it on a whim due to price.  I wasn’t looking for a new engagement ring, honest, but I happened upon one online and I’m not kidding when I said my heart skipped a beat.  I couldnt stop staring, it was the *perfect* setting that I’d always dreamed of in my mind but rarely saw and I just had to have it.  I was crushed thinking I’d have to let it go because I already had a ring, but after I did the math I figured out that it was slightly less to buy this ring outright than all the repairs on the other ring would be!  So I got it and it hasn’t left my finger since.

to help you, mine is a .48 ct Radiant (not my first choice, but the shape is growing on me since I was so set on princess) with 1 smaller emerald cut diamond, 2 tapered baguettes and 2 tiny rounds on either side.  Like the one you picked my radiant is an H color I1 stone, and it’s honestly gorgeous.  I can’t see the flaws from the top, only from underneath and other odd angles, so it doesn’t bother me at all…I’m sure if it was next to a better stone it’d show it’s true nature but that isn’t likely lol.

@Thesoon2bee:  I’m in love with plumeria flowers so about 5 years ago I started googling rings with plumerias on them. I found this pic:

And I knew I HAD to have this! But I soon found out it was a wedding set, and I was nowhere near thinking about getting engaged/married so I put that thought away for a few years. I hadn’t even met Fiance yet when I saw this!

Fast forward to last April, he proposed with the plumeria ring! I was ecstatic because I knew from the moment I saw it online, there was no other ring that was “me” enough. It’s tiny (0.2 tcw) but I absolutely love it 🙂

If you love it and feel its “the one” then go with that. As soon as I found my ring, I stopped looking at any others.
