I voted for you to keep looking.

Normally I wouldn’t suggest that, but it sounds like you need more time to process your choice. Give it a month, consider other options and then revisit the dresses. At that point you will likely have a better idea of what you really want.

Photographing well is a plus for sure, but I think that the one that “feels” right, and looks right IN PERSON should be your “one”!

My dress didn’t photgraph as well as I had hoped (intricate beading and sparkle), but *in person* I felt like the bomb dot com. 😛

Well you have to keep in mind that your professional photographer will know how to photograph you and the dress well. Maybe go back and try the dress on again but have someone else take the photos and then see how you feel.

For me what did it was when I put on one dress vs the other my wedding suddenly felt real. Before it was like this imaginary event that was sometime in the future but when I put that dress on I realized that in 4 months I would be marrying my best friend. While both dresses were flattering that’s what did it for me.

I picked the dress that I didn’t want to take off. There were plenty of other dresses that looked pretty and photographed well, but my dress made me stop in my tracks when I saw it hanging on the rack and I just wanted to parade around the store in it forever. Come to find out, it doesn’t photograph nearly as pretty as it looks in person but I really couldn’t care less, I love it and I know that professional photography will look much better than my silly iPhone

I think you should go for the one you love that photographs poorly. Remember, you’re getting a professional photographer (right?), they’ll be able to capture it properly.

@PatientBride:  I knew my dress was the one because for once in my life I saw no flaws and felt so beautiful. Of course came the waterworks lol, and I felt like a bride. It was very emotional for me.

Not everyone has the “omg this is the one” moment. You just have to choose which you feel is right for you and makes you feel like a bride and gorgeous in every way, and you can’t judge how well a dress photographs. LoL

for me i chose the dress that felt right, that matched my personality and venue, and i would be comfortable in. and as far as photographs it wasnt about how the material or details photographed, it was how MY body looked in it. i felt sexy and classic in the dress i chose. the other dresses were beautiful and beaded but i didnt like how my body looked in it.
