I met mine on OKCupid.  I had been on the site for years and wasn’t really looking for anyone because I was planning on moving across country.  He had just moved down to this area for graduate school and sent me a message on a day that I happened to actually remember to log onto the site. =]

In a bar at Mardi Gras. He was visiting with a friend and his family, I wound up hanging out with all of them and showing them the sights, since I lived there at the time. Pretty awesome beginning. 🙂

I will be honest and say that I’m still not comfortable telling friends about it even though I had all the reasons why people need those sites

We met on the website OKCupid.com… It’s free. haha I mean we don’t do clubs or bars, we already had graduated college pretty much, and we didn’t have tons of friends to introduce us to people… where do you meet people otherwise?

Mutual friend. He worked with my aunt who suggested we meet and gave me his phone number. Little did we know that blind cofee date would be the beginning of the rest of our lives!

School — we went to different schools but his and mine connect with the same facilities for a study abroad program in Japan. We met in Tokyo studying abroad! 😀

SO and I had been neighbors since I was young (he’s five years older than me). I’d see him drive by often but still never met him. One night in 2009 my mom needed a ride home from the bar so I got her, then bam! He happened to be playing pool league and was there. So happy I FINALLY got to meet him!

We met thought a mutual friend I used to workout with. At an Australia Day BBQ and BAM future SO walks in the yard in a cannibal corpse shirt.

We met on gaiaonline.com when we were 13/14 haha. I just saw that we happened to live in the same state and messaged him, and after talking a while we fell in love and started dating at 15. My mom drove me to his city to meet him for the first time.

He’s a musican and we ran in the same circles of friends – but it’s quite a large circle. His band played the after party of a different band I had gone to see and we were introduced. But I had a boyfriend and he had a girlfriend. So we stayed friends and in contact for about five years.

Long story short, we had both broken up with our SOs (but did not know the other had), and a miscommunication about a ride to a concert, ended up with us hanging out the whole night… and then, the rest is as they say, History.
