Darling Husband and I met at university, but were only having casual sex for years. We got together nearly 4 years after graduation.

sarabee:  I’m sure some of the women at work have male friends ๐Ÿ™‚ Other than that, I’d attend professional/hobby/interesting events, like lectures and whatnot.

I met my fiance while I was writing a paper at a friend’s house. They were roommates for about a month and I met him a few days before he moved out. Really lucky ๐Ÿ˜€

My Fiance and I met on Tinder… which is usually used more as a “hookup” app. Neither of us were on there looking for a hook up, and were both looking to date. I had been doing the online dating thing for a while and I was his first online date ever. Once we started messaging it turned into text and we texted nonstop for the next week until we met. It was funny because when we first met I did not get the vibe that he was interested in me! It turns out he was just hung over haha. He had come straight from visiting some of his friends in his old college town. He did kiss me goodbye and ask to see me again. We were “official” a few weeks later and engaged almost 8 months later!

I met my fiance at his place of work – I went into a local tattoo and piercing parlour to get my ear pierced, and he was the owner of the shop. He pierced my ear, I bled all over him, and the rest is history!

Certainly not where I pictured meeting the love of my life (I have a couple of tiny hidden tattoos and no visible piercings) but you just can’t help where and with whom it happens!

Couldn’t be happier now – and great to be marrying someone with business drive and passion!

My Fiance and I met in high school but didn’t start dating until a year after I graduated. We dated for a year and then broke up. During that time, I was totally single. I went on two dates with a friend and talked to a couple of guys but that was it. I tried okcupid but nothing really panned out. My Fiance messaged me on facebook 2 years after we broke up and we started talking again.

I told myself that if I were totally single at 26, I’m 25 now, that I would try match.com or eharmony. I think it’s difficult to meet people once you’re out of school unless you’re involved in groups outside of work. You just have to be open-minded and get out there. One of my friends met her SO when she was walking her dog so you never know.

We were neighbors! Three doors down, no less. He started talking to me from his balcony one day as I was returning from the mailbox. He just started talking…a voice out of nowhere. It startled me but he was so outgoing we just kept chatting. And we haven’t stopped!

We met in nursing school. I didn’t know him throughout the entire 2 and a half years I was there until our final semester. We had a group project and someone we both knew decided to ask him to be in our group. I started having feelings for him throughout the semester but we didnt start to date until after we graduated.

I met my Fiance at the gym.  I had noticed him in the gym for about a year before he asked me out or we got talking.  I thought he was absolutely gorgeous (still do of course!) but I had a boyfriend at the time so always kind of admired him from a far haha!  But when I split up with my boyfriend Fiance found out and then asked me for my number.  I looked a treat – sweaty with my hair scraped back…nice!  But he didn’t seem to mind and the rest was history!

sarabee:  We were 16 and had a history class together. He was just a nice guy who let me copy off his papers lol

We started hanging out when I sat at his lunch table, and he hung out for the next 2 1/2 years and became best friends. The year we turn 19 I left my then guy and eventually we started dating.

Little over 5 years later and here we are. He made it out of the friend zone ๐Ÿ™‚

I first laid eyes on him at a party when i was 20.. two years later his friend (who liked me) invited me to his home for a get together where we reconnected. We lost touch for three years, after getting together the third time around the rest was history..

Comes to show you that whatevers meant to be will be. The one thing that can get in the way is timing.

We were neighbors. I moved next door to him when I was 15 and we were introduced through a mutual friend who also lived on our street. We were acquaintances for a year and started dating at 16

  • Wedding: January 2016

My fiance and I went to high school together. He graduated in 2009 and I graduated in 2011. We did not really know each other in high school but we knew who each other were (if that makes sense, we were acquaintances with mutual friends but we never talked or hung out). I was dating a guy in 2011 and my Fiance had messaged me on facebook and said that he thought I was the most gorgeous girl he has ever seen and that it was a shame I was in a relationship. So I just said thank you and that was it. Then after a messy break up with my boyfriend at the time, my Fiance messaged me again and said that he saw I was no longer in a relationship and he wanted to take me on a date. So I went on a date and the rest is history. We moved in with each other and were engaged 2 years later. Our wedding is January 9, 2016. ๐Ÿ™‚

High school when we were 15! We only got together when we were 22 though. Which was fine, because it gave us time to mature
