We meet in college through a mutual friend (my ex-boyfriend, his roommate). Kind of strange but it worked out well!

Blind date ๐Ÿ™‚  I work with one of his family members and they thought we’d be a good match.

When the time is right, you’ll find each other.   I was single for about a year and was to the point I was completely okay with being “alone”.  I think that put me in a better mind set when I met my guy…because I didn’t feel like I needed him…I wanted him in my life ๐Ÿ˜‰

We met on the first day of high school… and he proceeded to date one of my closest friends all the way up until senior year, when she cheated on him with someone she met in college (she was two years older). Although we were good friends, he and I started hanging out more and more… fast forward to the last day of high school, when we finally kissed!

I was a naughty girl!

It was completely by chance as these things often are I suppose. I was at a classmates apartment working on a project. Suddenly a guy walked in the door and it was his new roommate who just happened to be moving in that day.

Long story short me and his new roommate got to talking for four hours it was an immediate connection. However he had just been discharged from the Marine Corps and returned from Afghanistan so he was dealing with some pretty heavy stuff and not ready for a relationship right off the bat. We were close friends first until he was ready to take the next step. Took a lot of patience and heartache but three years later its perfect we have a place together and he is saving up for the perfect engagement ring.

You will find the right person for you, I often find it happens when you are not actually looking.

Met through mutual friends…I remember the exact moment I first saw him, I remember what he was wearing, I remember the first words we spoke to each other. We clicked instantly and went on to be best friends. I got a job offer of a lifetime which would require me to move to Barcelona. 4 hours before I was due to either accept or reject the job, he asked me to stay and the rest, as they say, is history. Our love story is so cliche lol.

…Although I was actually seeing his brother for a little while in the past and we kept in touch so I probably would have met him eventually anyway.

We met in college ๐Ÿ™‚ if you’re out of school, even taking 1 class at a local community college is a great way to meet people!

I was lucky and met him through a mutual friend at her birthday party back when I was 18 and he was 17. Have been inseperable since.

I met my husband through my best friend!  She knew we were both single and decided to hook us up…and it worked out because we are now married and very happy! The funny thing is that I already knew his best friend from when I was in university and he vouched that my future husband was a very good person – he ended up being the best man at our wedding and my best friend my MOH!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I met my fiancé at a coffee shop. He was a “regular” and I was the barista in a green apron.

Met mine when we were in high school. My brother was dating his cousin and invited me and her cousins camping. I just graduated from high school and my DH was going into his senior year in high school. we became friends and grew close, but I had a boyfriend at the time. I broke up with my boyfriend and my DH and I became closer. He worked at the movie threaters and saw me with my ex (we were just hanging out) and he was crushed and stopped talking to me.

A few years later, I was in college and he was in boot camp to become a US Marine. Durning a family party (his family and mine are very close since my brother dated and married his cousin) he came with some friends and I was there with my ex who was now my boyfriend again. We spoke briefly, had a connection again, but nothing came of it Because of my boyfriend. a year or so later, he was about to deploy to Iraq and we hung out. We had a great time, watched movies, had dinner and enjoyed each other. He lefted and I wrote him letters, that never got to him, instead ended up coming back to me years later.

when he got back from Iraq, a friend of mine had a crush on him, so I tried to arrange for them to get together. I called him and asked him if he would want to hang out with us and that she was interested in him. We agreed to all see a movie the next day at 5pm. He showed up at my house at 10am and refused to leave until I came and hung out with him all day. He told me he wanted nothing to do with my friend and he had loved me since the first time we met in high school. He told me how crushed he was when I went back to my ex and how angry he was. He asked me to marry him a month later. He deployed again, and when he got back, he spent all his deployment money on my ring. we married shortly after. We have been married for almost 10 years and are extremely happy and in love.
