- Wedding: August 2013 - Brookfield Zoo
We met at an internship the summer of our junior year. We started out as friends and didn’t hang out much until closer towards the end of the summer, then he came to visit me when fall semester started and we took things to the next level. He said he had a little crush on me all summer, but I didn’t even think of him “that way” until we went to the zoo on the very last day of our internship, and then I couldn’t stop thinking about him LoL.

I’m a little lae to join in the conversation, but that’s ok. I was in all sorts of clubs and did all kinds of extracurricular activities in high school. By the time I graduated, I was sick of it, and chose a “college” that didn’t have any of that. I had dated the same guy for four years of high school, and I was waiting for him to come back from a year out of the country. AKA, not looking to date anyone. My second semester I had English, and I took the seat closest to the door, since I liked to leave asap after class. I noticed my SO in the very back of the room, and I thought he was cute. The next class he was in my seat! I had to move two seats over, since the woman who sat next to me never moved [he later told me he was trying to sit by me, but she wouldn’t move, haha].
I eventually started dating someone else after six months of waiting for my ex to come back, but the guy I dated was a HUGE ass. One of my worst boyfriend choices ever. He dumped me on Valentine’s Day back in 2007. Meanwhile, this whole time, my SO and I were becoming close friends since we both had the same classes. He mentioned one day in the hall that our school was good for nothing [really was], and that there weren’t even any good single women there. I said “I’m single.” *awkward silence for everyone else around* He asked me on a date a few days later, and I left my phone number on a piece of paper in his car door handle. We dated for a few months, then the ex I was waiting for came back. I knew my SO was the one, but I had been with my ex for so long, that I felt I should date him again. SO and I broke up [boo!], and my ex brushed me off onto one of his friends.
Long story short [kind of late for that, right?], two years, a baby, and a terrible relationship later, I was single again. My SO had been in a crappy relationship those two years, and as soon as I told him [since he was now my best friend] he broke up with her, and a month later we started dating. This April is two years together, and I couldn’t be happier that we both picked a terrible school since I got him out of it. He’s the best father for my daughter, and I love him wih my whole heart.
Also, sorry for the book ^

Mr S asked me out several times at work. We work on the same site but completely different departments. I was so focusing on my work that I didn’t wanna meet anyone, but after 5 weeks och his stalking I gave in, lol!
We have been together for almost two years and getting married next year!

Both of our best friends were dating, so we met that way. Thier relationship was a like a horrible car crash- so bad you wanted to look away but couldn’t. They broke up after three months, 6 years later here we are as newlyweds 🙂

OKCupid. Lol. But that’s not what we tell people ;). We tell them we met at an old indie movie theater and watched a really horrible world war 2 movie with the worst actors I’ve ever seen. Which is true, in a way. It’s where we “met” for the first time.
The real story is I’d just been out on yet another unsuccessful date with an OKC jerk who tried to feel me up in the car (ugh) and was *THIS CLOSE* to deactivating my account when I saw a message that was actually gramatically correct, not horribly offensive and didn’t say one word about my boobs! It was like I won the internet jackpot. He was a paralegal applying to law school and I was a first year law student and we talked for a week on facebook before we met IRL. And the rest is history :).
