So i really went back n forth about the date, theres no significant one aside from our anniversary which is the month of august. but i wasnt sure i wanted it to be in August.
so i heard of one woman picking her wedding day by using the chinese calendar, it said the end of May would be lucky for us. hence how i came up with my current date. 😡
when my sister asked why i picked May and i told her, she gave me this wierd look, so i dont tell too many people HOW i picked it lol.

Well.. The fiance and I actually thought of days that were important to us. We looked for several days. Finally, we went all the way back to the day we met. We actually met on July 28th 2007. We got engaged on November 28th 2010 ( My fiance’s birthday) and we wanted the wedding to be like at least a year and a half or so out, so when we looked.. July 28th 2012 was on a Saturday, so it just worked out perfect! Plus the day is so important to us and our journey together 🙂

Well we were considering quite a few dates. I knew we didn’t want anything during the summer because it was too hot, and I didn’t want to rush the planning and do it in the coming fall so we narrowed it down to spring. My mom requested the end of March because she is a teacher and could have more time to help if it was around spring break. I wasn’t a huge fan of the idea, but when we learned from our venue that we would get a 20% discount off of food and alcohol if we had it in March the Fiance and I decided it was the best option and so we ended up with March 30, 2013.

Fiance & I share a birthday, so we kind of wanted to get married the weekend before our birthday. However, his uncle (his mom’s only brother) was deployed overseas so we decided to push our date back so he would definitely be able to be there. So, since he proposed on August 28th of 2010, we decided to get married on August 25th of 2012. 6 months to go!!

we had a date in mind just based on availability in the month we wanted, but we ended up changing it to get the photographer we wanted (based on her availability).

I don’t know when I’m getting braces off, so I wanted a lot of padding (hoping may…) and I had to wait until after Fiance finished grad school in may. I went to the venue, booked it and they had two dates in July for a sunday so I picked one.

We either wanted a fall or spring wedding (fall being the first choice). Summer is too hot and winter is too complicated with all of the holidays. We looked at a calendar and Michigan football had a bye-weekend on Sept. 29th – it was perfect!

We wanted a fall Saturday night wedding. We took the last available date at our dream venue. Lucky!!

I love summer weddings, but my bdy is in July and August is too hot. So we picked June and 23 is his jersey number he had all the way through high school and his bday is 2/23….. 🙂

we thought about the weather and knew we wanted a early summer wedding because it would be nice and warm without being sweltering. we picked a date when all the family would be able to attend and I used a period calculator to try and forecast when I would get my period that month and then I avoided that weekend.

We decided what season we wanted to get married in based on when we DIDN’T want to get married. We didn’t want any time during the holiday season, spring in New Orleans can be unpredictable with rain, then comes hurricane season, which doesn’t really wind down until November. So we picked late October and early November before Thanksgiving.
Then I had an aunt that could only come in town on certain weekends, so we narrowed it down further based on that. We got it down to three possible weekends, then called venues to see when they were available, and that’s how we got November 17th! It also happens to be exactly one month before our six year dating anniversary 🙂
Also: Nov. 17 is a bye week for Bama football. FI’s little sister goes to Alabama and is standing in the wedding, so we wanted to accommodate her as best possible. LSU plays Ole Miss in Baton Rouge that day, but at least it’s not Florida or Bama… 🙂

It was the date that worked best at our venue in our chosen seasno. My Fiance is Chinese so after we picked our date his parents did consult a Chinese calendar, but those dates wouldn’t have worked.

I coach ice skating and the first two weeks of August are the only two weeks I have off every year. His family reunion is one of those weekends so we basically had one weekend to work with.
It ended up on Sunday because there was no negotiatiing with me one what venue it would be at so Saturday was booked and I took Sunday.

Ha ha… we picked our date because the college football team that we cheer for wasn’t playing that particular weekend! ha ha!!!
We live in a college town (although we are both out of college) and we wanted to attend games! We actually were out tailgating the weekend before the wedding!
