I just picked the caterer that had his restaurant where our reception is, so it made it really easy. I would pick one that offers diversity (lets face it, nobody likes the same food!)

Don’t stress out about it, you’re very lucky to have two people to pick from! It’s very hard or people to find 1 that they love. If the prices are similar, and the food tastes equally as good, maybe take a poll from yoru bridal party!

I relied on reviews, what the menu sounded like, the customer service, and the taste. It was also relying on my gut (no pun intended!). My caterer cost more than the other two options we looked at, but they were the most creative with our specifications (e.g. meatfree) and they had the best customer service and presentation. Their food definitely tasted significantly better than the other one we tried.

@BreezyBride24:  And you’ve taste tested both? I would ask for referrals from each caterer and call them. Ask about the service they received and if everything panned out well at their event.

Thank goodness our venue uses their own catering service. We are food tasting this weekend (she only has one food tasting event a year and next year it’ll be too late), so I’m super pumped!  But, I’m also nervous because I know we won’t agree on a menu together.. haha

@BreezyBride24:  Yeah, I tasted EVERYTHING and there was not one bad thing I tasted.  I have no idea.  I think our final menu selection is due like 2 months prior, so we’ve got some time.  I think we are going to pick her Southern menu.. what we choose off of it (3-4 entrees, 3-4 sides, 5 passed hor doeuvres & two stationary displays) will be another battle for another day.
