We aren’t expecting or TTC in the near future. I have a growing list of names that I like that are then split into other categories. I have had one boy name since before I can remember not having it; I used it as the name of my favorite doll growing up. So far, it is the only concrete name I know any of my children will have. That has been a firm requirement in our relationship that our first son’s name was NOT negotiable.

I tend to gravitate towards very old names. My SO calls them “dusty” because some haven’t been used in a loooooong time, haha. For girls some of the names that have been on the list for a while are Cordelia, Theodora, Winifred Gwendolyn, etc., names like that and for boys, besides the concrete name, I have Sebastian, Leo, Desmond.

I don’t think I could chose unless I was looking the baby in the face. I’m hoping when I see my first son he looks like a Harrison!!!

We both knew we wanted names that weren’t *too* popular, and hopefully when we’re ready for TTC the names will remain where they are in popularity.

We also looked at the meaning/origin of the names. I didn’t have a specific meaning I was looking for (neither did DH), but I knew that I wanted the name to mean something I agreed with/something ‘good’. This narrowed down a few of our choices.

Now, we have names chosen for both a boy and a girl.
