I was torn between having all white or all red, so I just put them together.

Our venue heavily features red decor, so I think the white compliments it nicely.

My wedding color’s have always been my favorite. Fiance loves that color also, so it wasn’t hard to decide.

We considered the season (winter) and the feeling we wanted (warm and rich), and our favorite colours (mine is red, his is purple), google imaged some inspiration and voila! Cranberry and plum pallet was born 🙂

We were inspired by the colors of the Chicago flag because we met & live in Chicago but were married in NY close to family.  We thought it was a nice way to bring a little piece of our lives back home.  If you live in/near Chicago, you know this flag is everywhere!!

Sky/tiffany blue tablecloths, white/cream/blush centerpieces & bouquets, burgundy bridesmaid gowns, named the tables after city landmarks, grooms cake a literal interpretation of the flag, favors/gifts in the color palette, etc.  It was beautiful!

My favorite color [pink] + FH’s favorite color [black], and then we brought in a “base” color to hold everything together, white.

We knew we wanted blue but we couldn’t figure out what to match it with. So we searched on pinterest and found our color scheme – navy blue and apple green.

tiredgrey:  I chose to reject the whole “colours” thing and did not choose colours for my wedding.  Instead I took a context clue from my location (the beach in Mexico) and just declared my desire for things to be colourful.  The result was something pretty similar to the colour combo you’ve posted above!

I didn’t stress too much about “pulling it off” but it came together great.  I chose basic white linnens then asked the florist to make the flowers brigth and colourful.  They did all the flowers (boquets, ceremony, centerpieces, bouts) so they all harmonized.  The other colourful element was my MOH’s dress, she choose a flowy blue number, and our favors which were maracas.  We asked the vendor to provide us with an array of colours.  We added them to the table scape and they really popped.

It helped that my venue naturally have a neutral backdrop (beach, infinity pool, wooden decks, palappas, etc).

We used my favourite colour and my husband’s favourite colour, making our colour scheme red and black 🙂 (fall wedding).

FH and I both love black. Were going for a dark romance feel. Lots of black lace, candelabras, accented with some ivory linens. We considered the season (summer) so we chose softer colors for our flowers. Blush and white colored roses with some green filler in our antique silver vases.

Initially my plan was to have purple and fushia with a touch of lime green for our colors. Then I chose a super romantic feeling dress and I felt I should alter my colors. Our colors are now blush, lavender and cream with a small touch of gray.

tiredgrey:  I actually had my bridal moment with my colors lol as soon as I saw my malibu blue I was all I’m saying yes sadly I was not at klinfeilds but davids bridal and my consultant was trying to find me a belt to go with my dress……. went pretty crazy with malibu blue for a while till it hit me that staring at nothing but that blue causes headaches so then I thought about it and added fushia which is my second favorite color cause I have a feeling that if I added neon hot pink my guest would have been like what an eye sore lol. Later when picking dresses for the parents I decided to make their dresses and suits a dark almost navy blue so right now my wedding colors are ombre blue with a touch of fushia. My advice is listen to your bridal instincts they will lead you in the right direction and if your wedding party doesn’t agree tell them to have their own wedding.

tiredgrey:  I wanted Gray and Yellow which is my FAVORITE color combo. Fiance said no. I’m happy with Gray and Orange though. I love fall color combos at weddings.

tiredgrey:  We knew we wanted autumn/natural tones from the start.  I originally wanted my girls in a copper or rust color, but fell in love with a color called “guava” from DB.  Depending on how it’s accessorized, it’s a bit summery.  I had a bit of dress regret b/c iit was not my “original vision”, but our space is a barn so it’s all wood and brown.  That pop of color will work nicely, and we’ll mute it down with the bouquets.
