Bored6:  I went through pinterest until I found something I knew would work with my hair, and wedding day.

Good question…. I would be interested to see how others decided…

I had my hair trial and wanted it half up loose curls, which my hair stylist kind of pushed me to try the low side bun to wear it up, but I am not sure what I want to do still!!

I think it maybe a game time decision.

I dunno, it just sort of came about naturally. I knew I didn’t want my hair all the way up since I feel like my face is too harsh to pull off a look like that. My Fiance lightly suggested something half up and half down rather than all the way down, so I started looking around for half up styles. I also know I’m going to be wearing a tiara so I wanted something that would compliment that and my full bangs.

Since I’m getting married at Disney I started looking at hair and make-up artists in the area and came across stylists who specialize in “princess” styles. I loved looking through their galleries and was really struck by the Rapunzel/Elsa styles, which were basically long braids decorated with either flowers or crystals. Since I’m getting married in January the crystals really struck a chord with me with their wintery feel and overall I love the idea of a braid since it feels really different to me.

I’m still not 100% sure if it will work out though as my hair is about an inch past my shoulders and although I’ll be growing it out the rest of the year I don’t know if it will be long enough to look the way I want it to.

Bored6:  I went through Pinterest and only saw 1 thing I would like on my wedding day. I showed Fiance to see if he liked it and he said if I wore my hair like that we might start making babies before the reception is over. I took that as a yes.

I had an idea of what suits me, I pinned a bunch of things, I thought about practicality (wedding in hot location = hair up!), and I choose an inspiration pics.  I brought said pic to hairdresser on wedding day and asked her to do something “inspired by” although there was no need to be identical.  I was lucky that my hair turned out great!

Bored6:  I will have an updo since it’s probably the only time when I will be a bride. I also figured it would be awkward if a guest showed up with an updo and as I bride, I had my hair casually done. Not to sound like a diva but I don’t want to be upstaged on my special day.

princesserbear:  Damn, girl! It looks like glamorous bed head + beach hair combined! But the good kind 🙂 And the sexy pout doesn’t hurt, either, haha.

LoveMyBrit:  I know, I told my one bridesmaid “now if only I could look like Hillary Duff, I’d be in the money.” But yes, my hair is naturally wavy-ish and he loves it when I just let it air-dry, so I feel like the “structured beachy waves” will be perfect.

Pinterest! I showed my mom, who is also my hairdresser, what I liked about each of the pics and she worked with it. My first trial went really well, but there are just a few things I would like to change and certain things she knew I wouldn’t like but did them anyway. Because I’m assertive. We will have another couple of trials before my big day.

princesserbear:  I have that one pinned as well 🙂

I created a whole Pinterest board for hair and another for make up. Then I took them to my test run. Im glad I did one because I did it with my extensions and after I decided against extensions for the wedding.

A couple years ago a girl who does hairstyles on youtube got married and she posted a how-to on how she made her hairpiece and I loved the one style.  Turns out that’s the one that she used for her own wedding, and she put up a video of her hair being done for her wedding and there’s one shot when her hair is only half done, but I love the way the hairpiece looks with the half up style.  So that’s what I’m doing.

http://youtu.be/2Fy23r8lldM?t=2m25s This is the part of the video with the half up hair.
