I always pictured myself being super exciting and squealing and jumping around but that’s not how it happened. As soon as I saw him getting down on one knee I started bawling like a baby (in a good way) haha. How about you ladies? Did you react the way you thought you would?

I’d never actually thought about how I would react, but I was completely speechless. After staring at the ring, whilst he’s down on one knee, for what felt like forever I managed to say “are you serious?” lol. I was taken completely by surprise. He said he was kind of hoping I’d cry but was pretty pleased with himself for rendering me speechless (apparently it doesn’t happen often).

I reacted like a bumbling dork…as expected
He asked and I said yeah then laughed in the most ridiculous way. It’s on video and it makes me laugh how much of a goober I am.

haha, thats cute!! Im not a cryer, but i do tend to giggle when feeling any sort of emotion, especiallly when im nervous. When my Fiance propsed, thats exactly what happened!! Although no one would know, since he proposed underwater!! I had been trying forever to get him to try scuba diving (im an obsessed scuba instructor) he always rejected it. Finally one day he told me he wanted to try. While under water, he went down on one knee and pulled out a sign asking me to marry him. My reaction: first i started flaring my arms in the air (water), then i started breathing up my tank air really fast, then as soon as he got the ring on my finger i kicked up to the surface, spat my reg out of my mouth (the thing you breathe from) and then started screaming….and giggling. It as pretty awesome, and he couldnt of found a better way to do it.

I LAUGHED. LIKE A FOOL. He managed to slip our waiter a camera to take pictures, and in every single one my eyes are squinted shut, and my hand is covering my gaping mouth. It was ridiculous.

Hmm I don’t know if I ever thought about how I’d react either. Maybe briefly, but I knew I wouldn’t be squeals or crying. I was just super curious how he’d go about proposing.
Because we had to travel for a bit to my hometown on a random workday, I kinda figured something was up so I was just waiting for when he’d actually pop the question. When he proposed, I’m sure I was beaming with happiness, behind my sunglasses. And when he ask I was like “yes of course! ……do I…do I put the ring on now?” ahahahahaha and he was just like “yeah course!”
Though now I think about it, he could’ve put the ring on my finger!

I said, “NO.” But not in a bad way, more so as “No you’re kidding me.”

I was in shock. I think I may have had a poker face, I didn’t squeel or cry or jump up and down or anything lol.

“are you serious, oh my god, i dont belive you..are you serious”
Poor thing down on one knee, ring in hand! Then i of course said yes, followed by ‘i cant belive you have proposed.. are you sure’ haha then when it sunk in, i got all giddy and teary.
It was a complete surprise, he threw me off the scent the day before and from that conversation i wask expecting it to happen within the next year not the next day!

ladybug55078: I had tears running down my face, which is what I expected. However, I did not expect to keep bursting into happy tears for the next three days (I hardly ever cry, and if I do it’s real quick and then over).

I had always imagined how I would react, but I did exactly what I did not want to do–I cried, and kept crying until he was like “Will you…?” again. I said “Yes”, and I kept crying..(smh). I was still emotional that morning due to a huge fight we had the night before.

heputaringonit: same for me! I was emotional for a while right after I got engaged.

I laughed and asked if he was serious while trying not to ugly cry. Only because I don’t do serious well…

Just screaming while crying. I don’t even think I answered him…
