I am going to be sealing mine tomorrow…I have about 50 to send out and I am not sure if I want to take the risk of using a damp sponge, or just suck it up and my Maid/Matron of Honor and I will lick them all. What did you ladies use?

Office Depot/Staples carry “envelope moisteners” for like $2.
Also, elmer’s glue sticks rock for this.

I licked em all. My tongue got dry halfway through and I had to get a glass of water, but otherwise I only had 35 or so invites to send out, so it was no biggie.

Refuse to lick them based on the Seinfeld episode where George’s fiancee dies because the envelope glue for the invites was cheap and toxic 🙂
I’m actually using a glue stick to make sure they’re stuck. The glue on my envelopes was a little cheap… haha. Oh well, the envelopes were so cheap I can’t argue!

We got an envelope moistener and then a little stick of silver sealing wax and a wax stamp with our monogram on it to seal our envelopes with. I thought it was cute and vintage-y.
I think licking 25 envelopes is going to taste nasty, but if you think you can do it then go for it.

I plan on using the envelope moistener I cant see myself licking all of em : )

If you dip one of those triangular makeup sponges in a little bit of water–wonders!

Other. I liked about 1/4 of them and then made Fiance take over!

@LaborofLove I told my bridesmaid that Seinfeld story while we were sealing my STD envelopes. 🙂 It served as part of my motivation to use a damp sponge to seal all 52 of the STD envelopes. No mess here.
