I can’t comment on selling, but I did buy both my ceremony and reception dress from preownedweddingdresses.com.  I felt really safe as a buyer buying through the site.  The first dress I bought was a Lazaro, I paid $2,400 retail is $6,000…Her wedding was just over a year after I bought the dress so it took her at least a year to sell depending on how long she had the dress on the website.  The second dress I bought also a lazaro I got for $2,500 she was asking $2,800 and the dress retailed for $5,300.  I think hers sold very quickly…she received like 10 inquiries after I had emailed her about the dress.

Good luck selling yours!

californiabride2013:  I sold mine through a local consignment shop.  I had put it up for sale on a few websites, spent HOURS talking to potential buyers but nothing panned out.  And I was worried about shipping and Paypal so I decided a consignment shop was the best way to go.  I bought my dress for $1219, paid approx $125 for a bustle and the consignment shop sold it for $650, I got $325 of that amount.  Obviously it wasn’t a lot considering what I paid for it but I should have bought my dress used and was happy to have someone else handle the hassle of selling it.
