Hi Bees,
I recently joined the club and purchased a Rago high-waste long leg shaper, and DAAAMMMNNNN did it smooth me out! Now, my only concern is overheating and wanting to keel over from it all. My wedding is outdoor, mid-September, in an area that averages in the low to mid 70’s. Most likely I’ll be okay-ish, but I wonder: How did you all stay cool in these structured garments? Any tips, advice, sage wisdom appreciated!
I’m practicing wearing it today to get used to the compression…I want to make sure I can eat, drink and enjoy myself as much as look great in my dress!

hotsytotsy : I have never tried that product but than you for posting! I did however survive and be nice and cool hiking in Cambodia in 100+ degree heat wearing the under armour thong underwear. My neighbor who works out all the time made me buy them before I went. I am going to wear them under my dress. I am getting married on the beach in August. Worth a try I bought them at Dicks.

hotsytotsy : honestly, I think you just kinda suck it up and suffer. There isn’t really any trick to staying cool. Stay hydrated – drink iced water, that will help keep your core temp down.

thats pretty much what I figured…maybe i should get something less whole-body encompassing and focus on the areas I need most. I’ll have to see what my dress requires

I don’t know what your dress style is, but… um… you’re gonna hafta go to the baffroom. 😮
I wear one of those spanks things when I’m having bad PMS. It feels good. But it’s a hassle to go to the bathroom. My gown is an A-line that’s forgiving from the waist down, so I’m probably going commando. 😀

Well for starters you put on A LOT of baby poweder before you put the shapewear on. That’s the sceret to helping you keep the sweating under control. As for the rest of it, you really just suffer. Honestly it’s not the shapewear that makes you hot – it’s the wedding dress in general.

It’s really not that bad… and mid 70s in September seems amazing. It’s still close to 100 where I’m from. I got married in Hawaii in may and had the exact same thing, never bothered me. And I didn’t have to potty either.
