Loving all these stories! It’s such a special moment regardless of how it happens!
@LMD84: that’s a really cute story! A true hero.
@candy11: that’s a random date for my wedding date- I should change it! We aren’t even Engaged yet! Surprise baby for sure!!!

I don’t have a cute reveal, lol. I took the test, set it on the counter and began to brush my teeth waiting for the 3 minutes to pass. Darling Husband came in while I was brushing, looked at it and said, “What does a plus sign mean?” I almost choked. Lol.

I don’t have a cute story LOL. I woke Darling Husband up at 6AM on a Sunday morning and stuck my test in his face. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would have waited until he was actually awake!

We’ve been trying for awhile, so when I finally got that positive test, I waited a couple more days and got in with my doctor to get a blood test. It was positive so I went to the store and got a digital one. I was so thrilled to see that word “Pregnant” on the stick! While I was at the store, I also picked up a Dr. Suess themed baby card and a couple of our favorite rolls. I pull a roll on a plate, with the stick and the card and stuck them in the oven. When Mr. D got home I was like “Dude, something stinks in the oven. Will you check? If there is something dead in there, I’m going to freak.”
I heard Mr. D open the oven, then close it, then open it again. Then I heard “Is this fake?” I started laughing and finally went in and was like “Nope! We are having a baby!” Then he hugged me and kissed me! It was the best moment I have had so far. I can’t wait to tell our moms now!

We were trying an didn’t think I was pregnant but took the test on a whim and was shocked to see the positive. I wanted to tell someone so I told my dog!! haha. I figured the father to be should be the next human to know besides me and I wanted to tell him in person.
I went to the store to try and find a onsie that said something with “Dad” on it but to no avail. I didn’t have much time before he got home from work so I bought a little white onsie and wrapped it up. I gave it to him when he came home and his face was priceless as the reality set in about what he was opening!!! Plan B was to show him the stick!

Ok so I just got my BFP on Friday. Back in January I threw a baby shower for my sister so at the time I picked up this little sleeper that said “My Daddy Rocks” with a T-Rex on it (a running joke from wedding planning, when he suggested the theme be dinosaurs). Anyway, I tucked that away in my toy chest in January when we had just started TTC. So Friday I took a test, was going to wait until Saturday but I was having weird symptoms, and it was the faintest line ever. I had the day off from work and was supposed to meet my husband for lunch. So I packed up my pee sticks, picked us up lunch, had him meet me in the parking lot, and as soon as he opened my car door I couldn’t help it and shoved the stick in his face and said “do you see a line?” I completely forgot about the little outfit I had bought I was just way too excited. I did give it to him later.

@mamadingdong: Thanks. I couldn’t hold it in plus I wasn’t convinced that the line was real.

I had so many plans on how to tell DH! But the day I found out, we had went and looked at a house… we had been argueing all afternoon because he wouldn’t decide on the house (even though it met 100% of our requirements and made total sense) he wanted to wait to “talk to his parents”,, now this is our 3rd house, and his parents are a pain in the ass so I did NOT want to talk to them! Anywho we were aruing ALL afternoon, like bad! He said something about me not doing something right & I got pissed and went inside (we had been on our patio watching my Dear Daughter & her cousin play outside) I had to pee so bad when I went in & I remembered I had an extra test in my purse. So I grabbed it, fuming still, to get my BFN and show him what he couldn’t do right! LoL Mature I know! This was 4 days before AF was even due, and Darling Husband had been out of town for 3 wks the month before. I sat down and peed and stared at that stick, and was all like comon 1 line! And all of a sudden there were 2!!! I started crying because we had been trying for 7mo and of all days to find out, when we argued. So I walked outside crying, and he was like what now… so I said um… Do you see 2 lines?! LoL We called my SIL to double confirm!!! He is very excited now and we got out house! haha We close tomorrow!

@emersynsmommy35: Aww, I love your story!
Everyones’ stories are great. I think no matter how simple (even waving a stick in the air) its still really special.

@hismm: Aww, your story made me cry. We have been TTC for a little more than two years now and I can’t even imagine how I’ll feel when I see that BFP. So much fun!

I told mine in the stupidest (<-not a word) way possible. I had a HUGE smirk on my face and when he got home from work I said, “Well I had an interesting day.” “Oh?” “Yeah, I peed on a pregnancy test and it came back positive.”
Wow, way to be suspenseful, Wed2Attn. You go, girl…
I had a bunch of fun ideas, but once I finally got PG, I was just so freakin’ excited I couldn’t wait to tell him!

@bunnymama: pretty much what I did too when “I” was pregnant with our now four-and-a-half month old son.

My husband was out of town hunting when i found out. We had a couple of fortune cookies from eating chinese like 2 weeks prior that we never ate so i opened them and pulled out the fortune with tweezers and then printed new ones that said “Confuscious says a new addition will be coming to your family soon, Lucky numbers 7-20-2013” – I stuffed them back inside ( the best I could).
He called when he was gettng close to home and i told him i wanted chinese and was going to have it when he got home. So he walked in and i had the plates ready for us to eat (I basically do this every night so he didnt think anything of it). I put the cookies on the plate with the rice/meat/crab rangoon…. It was nearly UNBEARABLE waiting for him to get to “dessert”. Finally he opened it and he looked at me and said – you are not going to believe this fortune and then kind of trailed off when he saw I was crying. 🙂
