tulsahhisrad:  I should have waited until he got home from work to test, but mytemps had remained higher than normal so I knew something was up. This was also 2-3 days before AF was supposed to show. But, after I took 2 (both Wondfos that I had left), they were both fairly positive and couldn’t believe it!

I found a card in my card stock that I had intended to give him one day (I sometimes give him random cards), although can’t remember what it actually said. I know the inside said something like, “… and all the hot sex we have!” and I finished it off writing something like… “which finally lead to a baby!”

I think he was in shock, mainly because we had been trying for quote a few months and didn’t know what made that month (this was in March) different.

My hubby is a Star Wars nerd, so I rigged this up for him (thank you AC Moore, Dollar Tree, & hot glue gun)…he was at luckily at work that day, so I had time! It was kinda unexpected, so I had to work fast, but always knew this was how I wanted to do it! For him, it was perfect!

Even though you can’t really see the indicator window on the pregnancy test inside the lightsaber, it says “Pregnant”…trust me! ๐Ÿ˜‰ 18 1/2 weeks along!

The first BFP I gave him a onesie, he teared up and we hugged – we lost that pregnancy. Second pregnancy was a chemical. By the time we got our sticky baby on the third pregnancy, we were over it. He knew I was testing that morning. He was sleep in bed when I came back in the room. I waited until he woke up, the first thing he asked was “Was it negative?” I very casually said “No, it was positive”. It took him a few seconds but he jumped out of bed and hugged and kissed me.

Not actively TTC yet (but won’t complain if something happens ๐Ÿ˜‰) but whenever it happens, I want to take hub to PF Chang’s (our special date spot) and when dessert comes, I’m going to have “Your wife is pregnant” written on the plate in chocolate syrup

I ran over with the positive pregnancy test and told Darling Husband: “I have something important to show you!”

“Ooh, is it a cat video?” He asked.

“Nope, it’s even better!” I said, and I showed him the result.

I’m not TTC yet, but i love the idea of doing something cute – having a onesie or baby sports jersey waiting…unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to hold it in, he’ll probably be there in the bathroom with me while we wait for test results.

We are going to start trying next month. I ordered this onsie for Darling Husband to give to him. I want to do something special and cute to tell him. He did such a great job proposing and making that moment memorable, it’d be nice to do something memorable for him! We’ll see if I’ll actually be able to wait though. Ha. I really like the idea PP had of a picture frame that says “Daddy & Me” and adding a white background and putting Coming Soon.

We went away for a few days for our 1st wedding anniversary and arrived home 2 days after our anniversary, I out of the blue decided to take a test (3 days before af was due, no symptoms, no idea why I took the test lol). I didn’t tell him I was taking a test as I was sure it would be negative…..but up popped “pregnant” on the test!!

I had originally planned to buy wee booties when the time came but was too excited!

So I called him down to our room and said “would you like a belated anniversary present!?” Then held out the test! He was over the moon, we both hugged, cried, laughed and said “holy shit” over and over lol

Best anniversary present we could have hoped for ๐Ÿ™‚

So many great stories – thanks for sharing all!

Haven’t started TTC (starting in July!!) and much as I’d love to think I could pull off a cute surprise, I doubt I’ll be that put together.  I’ll probably announce it to the world at large by running down the street with my pee stick held aloft like a sword lol

I remember bursting into the living room like a bat out of hell and screaming and shoving not one, but three, pregnancy sticks in his face and yelling, “Oh my God!! I think I’m pregnant!!”  He looked at all three sticks and then up at me and said, “Yup, you’re pregnant!”  And then he told me that was the best news in the world and threw his arms around me.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I went to walmart and got a blank white pair of boxers and wrote on them with a sharpie” YOUR SWIMMERS WORKED!” And then got some baby carrots, some baby bottle candies,  and some babybelle cheese.

I couldnt keep it in when i found out, so i went to his work on one of the busiest days of the years ( yay for bad timing!) brought him to the parking lots and he opened his present! He didnt get it for any of it, and thought the boxers said ” your summer works” ha so i finally had to tell him and it was a good shocked! I took a video too so its nice to have that memory
