Did you wear your engagement ring on your right hand? Or just wear your engagement ring on your left hand and have him slide your wedding ring above it?
I plan on having a simple band to go underneath my 1 carat solitaire. So there won’t be a problem with a wrap or any of that.
Just curious what other people did!

I actually didn’t wear it at all.

I gave both my engagement ring and the wedding band to my Maid/Matron of Honor to hold onto. So I didn’t wear it. I did wear my grandmother’s wedding band on my right hand for other reasons.
We also included a little reading about the engagement ring and I had my husband place the engagement ring back on my finger over the wedding band as the end of the ring part of the ceremony.

I wore mine on my right hand, and then switched it to my left hand after the ceremony. But I know a lot of girls don’t do this because their engagement ring doesn’t fit on their right hand, so that might not be an option.

Did anyone walk down the aisle with their ering on?
I’m thinking I will and then just move it, have him slip the wedding band on, then slip ering back on.
Is this strange?

I wore my ring on my left hand ring finger. My husband slipped my wedding band on above it. We’d initially planned that I would switch it up after the ceremony…but I have decided to keep it that way! It looks and feels better to me in every way — but that’s just for my set.

Yes, I wore it on my left hand as normal. Darling Husband put wedding band over the top. I switched them around in the limo from the ceremony to the reception venue (where we were also having photos done).

@Holocene: I (luckily) haven’t had a problem with my ring fitting on my right hand. I will most likely just wear it on my right hand during the ceremony and after we walk down the aisle put it on my left hand!

I had my rings soldered together before the wedding.

@Jadite: I’ve thought about doing that too!

I wore it on my left hand as usual, he put the band on during the ceremony and then I just switched it to the bottom before the reception 🙂

I wore my e-ring on my right ring finger. After the ceremony, I moved it to my left so it would be on top of my wedding band.

@MsATC: Awww that is sooo cute!

@MsATC: I did that too!
I wore my engagement ring on my right hand, and then after the vows and exchange of rings I took my engagement ring off and gave it to my husband.
I can’t remember the exact words but the priest said something along these lines to my Darling Husband:
“You gave this ring to (my name) as a symbol of your love and a promise. Now that the promise has been recognized through marriage please slip the ring over (my name)’s wedding band to signify that the promise has been fulfilled.

@nzgirl: Can I steal that wording?
