I wore my hair up, purely because I have horrible hair! I wish I could say it was deliberate! 😉 I think a high bun looks amazing and ballerina-ish with strapless. There’s a bee on here called m2016 (something like that) who did that style and looked amazing. All the bees here with long hair look gorgeous.
To make the best of an updo, big (huge) earrings are good. I went no necklace as I didn’t want to be overdone. In most photos it looks good and not too bare. I think if you are tall and slender, you might need a necklace to break up your body (to break up too big a length of skin) but I have a large bust so any necklace would have sat IN it…not always a great look! 😉
I wore my hair up with dangly earrings and no necklace. I really wish I had worn it down because I think I look better, but I had a summer wedding so up was probably the right choice in the end!
Mostly down but pulled back on the top so I could use the hair comb for the reception.
I wore my hair up… I really wanted it out of my way.
Here’s the back
My wedding isn’t until next April but I’m looking at some type of curly up-do. Originally I always wanted long extensions. However, my dress has very intricate lace detail at the neckline and down the back that I wouldn’t want to be covered up my hair.
My hair was up and styled to one side, with a tiara. I wore pearl studs and a gold pendant.
I’m glad I put my hair up, I would have been too warm otherwise.
I had hair up in a big bun with a tiara, small pear studs and no necklace. My long veil was attached under the bottom of the bun, was single tier, decorational only and not used to cover my face.
I wore mine down with some pulled back and loose curls. I also had a hair pin on the right side.
I wore my hair up because it never keeps the shape I want when it is down. I also wore drop earrings and a pendant necklace. I had a summer wedding and was fully intent on dancing (and sweating) all night! I think my hair kept really well through the end at 1 am even.
I put my hair aaall up in a simple bun for my straples dress!
I decided to have it half out, but all swept to the back… so that the neckline of the dress wasn’t covered. Also, my hair is naturally curlier than it was styled for the wedding and I hate having my hair in my face so wanted a style where it would be out of my eyes.
