When my husband and I first started trying in March, I bought this card to have on hand for when I found out we were going to be expecting. We still have yet to get our BFP, but it is tucked away in a safe place until then… My plan was to act like it came in the mail for him and let him open it and read it. Either that or I was going to act like I got him a little present, which would be sort of true 😛

We waited until my moms birthday and got her a birthday card for grandmas and wrote coming January 2017. It took her a minute to catch on but my dad got it right away. I was already showing so I had to really try to hide it the few weeks before to pull that off.

My husband knew right away, I couldn’t keep the secret from him so I just told him as soon as I took the test.
This is how I told my mom:
My dad got a onesie that says “Littlest NY Giants Fan” and Darling Husband just told the in laws over the phone.
This is how FB found out last week:

We are both nurses and I plan to buy a pediatric or infant stethoscope and surprise him with it or switch it out with his stethoscope with a cute note like “Now 2 hearts beat for you. Due…” 🙂 I’m beyond excited for this actually. It just feels beyond perfect.

My friend announced on FB, in the new year, early months of pregnancy, with a tiny t-shirt that said ‘we’re expanding in 2016’ 😂

I’ve just told my Darling Husband this evening. It’s our first.
I put a little pair of booties in a box with my digi pregnancy test.
I told him I had an early Christmas present and that arrived today and I couldn’t wait for Christmas for him to have it.
He opened the box, looked at it in disbelief for a moment and then looked at me and exclaimed “YOURE PREGNANT??!!”. I nodded yes and we hugged and kissed and got a bit teary and then we went about the kitchen randomly opening draws and half putting things away, obviously all in a daze. He then very maturely did a big macho arm flex 💪🏻 . He then said “it’s a really good job we bought that extra large load tumble dryer yesterday isn’t it”.
I guess he was excited.
Weve said we are going to keep it to ourselves until we do a 10 week harmony test.
When we tell my mum we are going to give her this children’s book. It’s her 1st grandchild and she’s had to wait until I’m nearly 40 to have it so she’ll be over the moon

We are the exact same! Planning to start TTC in Sept/Oct, and if we conceive right away then Christmas would be the perfect time to announce!
I’ve already decided how I want to tell my parents. I want to do the old “bun in the oven” joke where I go to their house and put a bun in their oven, then tell them that I’m cooking something for them and for them to take a peak. Then let them figure it out….I’ve watched some of these on youtube and it’s pretty funny when it takes the parents a few minutes to get it. “It’s a hamburger bun” “yes, and where is it?” “it’s in the oven….OMG!” :’)

To my husband: I imagine I’ll be screaming from the toilet.
To my mom: I’ll call her crying out of fear and happiness.
To my mother-in-law: I’ll tell her in person.
To my friends and the rest of my family: I’ll call them.
To the rest of the world, I probably won’t formally announce it.

Aww! Yeah it made me cry too! I thought it was really sweet. I’m in my 2ww right now, so I’m hoping this month I’ll finally be able to give it to him! lol
I bought the card from http://www.writtenindetail.com
. They have an Etsy shop too, but I know they just had a baby themselves. So they are currently on a break and not printing any cards as of right now. I managed to order mine just before they closed their store temporarily.
