Fiance loved shopping for his band. We went to a few malls and stuff just to put rings on his finger, and then he found an etsy seller that he liked and customized a ring. He loves that damn thing.

My Fiance had little interest in shopping for a band, stating (while we were at a jewelry store) that he’d be perfectly happy wearing a ‘$20 walmart ring’. I was at least lucky enough to get his ring size (14, yikes), and proceeded to look online. Found a few different bands that incorporated his favorite colors, made him take a look at the ones I found, and he chose the one he liked (loved) best. We ordered it, and he loves it.

My fiancé is currently drooling over a $7.00 ring on groupon. He’s so low maintenance! I told him it has to be at least $20.00.

I got Fiance a “mangagement” ring for Christmas that he ended up loving and is now wanting to use as his wedding band! but he did go to jewellery stores at the mall (by himself, with no nagging from me!) not long after we got engaged to look at wedding bands.

@MissBettsy: It was no problemo. We bought my band asap after getting engaged, as the company we went with has periodic price increases and we wanted to get the matching channel set band. Occasionally we wander into the mall and he will sometimes stop at a jewellery store and we’ll check out the men’s stuff. When the time comes we already have the model numbers for his favorite styles!

I voted other….
We shopped for engagement rings together, but then he “waited for me to forget about it” (yeah right!) before he actually went in and bought it. Apparently while he was there, he picked out his wedding band too haha. Right after the proposal when we had stopped being all giddy he pulls out his phone and says “look at the ring I want”. So strange and out of character for him, but I love how excited he is!!

Oh man, shopping for a wedding band for DH was hilarious. For some reason, he was really nervous about going into the jewelry store to try on rings, since we were probably going to order online–I think he was embarrassed that he was trying stuff on we knew he wouldn’t actually buy. Then he felt weird actually wearing the expensive rings, so the second he would put one on, he would, like, YANK it off his finger and throw it back on the counter like it was on fire. I was like, “Hon, don’t you want to admire it?” He was like, “No, it’s fine! It’s good! They’re all fine!”
Needless to say, it was a bit of a struggle. Fortunately, he’s not too fussy, so once we ordered one, he was super happy with it.
OH and, did this happen to anyone else? DH had never worn a ring before, and he didn’t realize that you have to sort of wiggle them to get them off, so he was trying to just pull the rings straight off–he almost got the sizer stuck on his hand before I figured out what he was doing!!

@MissBettsy: DH was not a pain at all in any part of the wedding planning and actually was nervous because he was worried he wasnt going to find a wedding band that he liked as he does not wear any jewlery at all. But luckily we found the perfect band for him and he loves it.

@MissBettsy: I had to drag him. We went to look at a watch for him, so we tacked it on to that jewellery store visit. He didn’t really mind once we were in the store. I used the internet to narrow it down a lot, I showed him pictures and described the differences between metals.

We never went specifically to look for him, but every time we ever walked into a jewelry store and I looked at the mens rings with him, he was not having fun and was generally apathetic to the whole thing.
I was going to order his ring online until I saw his ring, which is white tungsten (I wanted platinum for the color, he wanted tungsten for the durability, so this was perfect) and $90, and he thought it was great. It was sort of a fluke.

@howsweetitis: The not knowing how to take the ring off, yes! My guy did that too! I helped him.

@MissBettsy: I had to drag Fiance and he was still not interested in looking. We found his dress on accident when I was dropping a necklace off to be fixed at a local jewelry store. he happened to look over at the rings found something he liked and wanted us to get it right then which we did Lol
