Self payment- layaway style. $200 to order with monthly payments until dress arrives or is paid off.

I paid 300 deposit and paid the 700 when I went for my first fitting.

My mom bought me a tiara and a veil (which she paid WAAAAY too much for)

My dress buying experience was pretty confusing and stressful. First my grandma said she’d pay for it, but then I think she freaked out b/c someone told her dresses were super expensive (I’m a bit worried b/c she also said she’d buy my crib and I’m hoping she sticks to that one!) so my dad said he’d pay, then he said he wouldn’t, then he said he would.

    So my parents paid.

I had planned and budgeted to buy it myself, but when I picked a dress and we got to the buying stage, my mom surprised me by paying for it. I will be paying for all of the accessories and alterations. It was a very nice surprise!

I had planned on paying for it but a few weeks after I started dress shopping I got a check from my grandmother for almost the full amount of the dress. I have to pay about $200 out of pocket but that’s nothing compared to what I would have had to pay.

I paid for it, cash straight away. but then it WAS only £102 from an online Chinese company. if it had been more money i probably would have paid it off little by little, or used my plastic fantastic….

Hm well my Fiance is paying it off a few hundred dollars a month. It was more than we had though I’d spend on a dress so were figuring it out as we go… Alterations are going to be difficult as I’m sure they will be pushing close to another $1000. =/

I haven’t bought my dress yet, but I am planning to pay for it myself.   Although, FI’s mom said something about liking to help out with it.  I think she wants to feel a part of the dress shopping experience, because she has no daughters.

I had planned on buying the dress myself, however when I went to pick it up and pay the balance, my Dad had surprised me by paying for the rest of it.  It was really sweet.

I paid half when I ordered it and the other half when it arrived. I budgeted myself and made sure not to overspend on it.

I paid it myself. I put $100 down when I wasnt fully sure I wanted that dress and told them not to order it yet. Then I paid half when I asked them to order it and then paid the rest the 1st time I went to see it.
