Well I was just about to say I’ll go natural, but your post made me dry heave! Haha!!  I will do what I can up to a certain point and then I will see what is physically possible. Smile

I went natural, so didn’t shave or anything, but it didn’t matter…. had a c-section!

@PilotsGirl56:  Wow now you have me paniked! I get brazilians regulalry so the hair is pretty fine. I just figured I would continue with them if I got pregnant, unless this is not possible? (Any bees out there who did?)

There’s no option for “other” so I didn’t vote πŸ™‚ But I plan to remove hair with my Remington electrical hair remover.

@Sea_bass:  Not pregnant or anything, but I’m hoping to be able to still get brazilians when I’m pregnant.  The thought of trying to shave with a huge tummy is scary – wouldn’t want to lop anything off πŸ˜‰  I hope they do them on pregnant ladies…maybe I’ll ask when I go next week!!

@doxielove:  Me too! Let me know what they say! I have never shaved down there, I would hate stubbly re-growth there!!

I always shaved down there but after getting pregnant and getting a belly it became a lot harder. Last time I attempted it I could not longer see down there and it took me over an hour. Also the blood flow causing swelling so the shave for me was a bit uncomfortable. I am just trying to trim the best I can because I hate long hair, and while I trust Darling Husband to shave my legs if needed I am a little nervous about letting him go down there with a razor.

@Sea_bass:  You definitely can get waxed while pregnant.  That’s what I plan to do.

My waxing lady always tells me how she does an extra good job plucking stray little hairs right before a woman’s due date since so many people are going to be down there!  πŸ™‚

I haven’t been able to contort myself (or see) to trim (I use an electric razor thing) down there in at least a month, so it’s getting kind of out of control. I’m due on Friday, and I’d really like to clean it up…Darling Husband offered to do it for me, but I’m a little squeamish about it, ha.

If I had been in the habit of waxing before I got pregnant I probably would have gone that route, but I don’t want my first wax being when I’m uncomfortably swollen down there…

So I’ll probably give it a try this week, and if I can’t manage, ask Darling Husband to do it, and pray he goes really slowly with it, lol.

ETA: Or I might just say eff it, they’re medical professionals, they don’t care about the state of my nether hair.

You can continue to get waxed, but the closer to your due date it can in fact cause you to go into labor. But every person is different and I believe if you get them on the regular the chances of it causing labor are far far less. Smile I worked in a spa and am a mother myself and that was one of my first questions. HaHa!

Edit: Also, as other PP’s have stated, the last thing the Dr.’s or nurses think or care about is your hair situation. They see it all the time….
