Do you have American Commodore Tuxedo in your area? They rent suits. If not, most tux places now offer suit rentals, just not Men’s Warehouse.

I think JCPenney’s has some pretty affordable suits. That’s what we’ll be doing. When my Fiance was in a wedding last year it cost him over $200 to rent a tux so we opted to have the groomsmen buy suits because the ones we found at JCPenney are under $200 and they’ll be able to keep them.

If you find a good deal, buying suits can be equal to or less expensive than the cost of renting.

Bees have posted about the sales at Mens Wearhouse and Jos A Banks.

Sears has the Satfford Essentials suit separates at very reasonable prices. The guys can get a jacket and pants for $100. If they don’t live in the same town it should be easy for then to both find a nearby Sears.

Our groomsmen purchased (to keep) their suits at a store in the mall (regional chain). I’d check out any of the stores above that bees have mentioned, and call to see if they have package deals. Our guys get suit pants, jacket, shirt, tie and matching pocket square, altered to fit, for $130-160 depending on alterations. You could easily pick out things at JCPenny or some other store and give them the item #s.

Our groomsmen are in suits, and we’re buying them as their gifts.  It’s tough to find suit rentals.

We bought gray suits for our groomsmen at a Men’s Wearhouse buy one/get one 50% off sale.  They have those sales pretty regularly.

Our groomsmen bought black suits from overstock.com. They were actually cheaper than renting. I haven’t seen them in person, yet, but they tell me they’re a decent quality & a steal for the price. Here are a few gray ones:

JCPenny also has 2 piece suits for $110, which is a reasonably good deal, too.

We got ours from JCPenney. They’re quite nice, quite reasonable cost wise, and now everyone has job interview suits!
