Ok, so I got my cathedral length dress and there is a long loop attached underneath and then another one further down. Is this the bustle? If so, how does it work?
I was supposed to ask the dressmaker but as I live away from where I’m getting married, it’s difficult…
If it isn’t the bustle, does anyone know how to do it as i’m completely lost!

They don’t know either… My seamstress is all the way over near my parents’ house…

@somethingclaretandblue: I would look for some blogs, and websites, dedicated specifically to women’s formal fashions, and also hitsorical fashions, as such things were more common decades ago. I think you are more likely to find the most correct, and complete, answer that way.

My seamstress has shown my mum and chief so it’s all good!
For reference, if you have a small loop and a longer loop, the longer loop goes through the shorter one and then pull it all the way through and tie it! 🙂
