@Courtneyashley:  I think you should focus less on not wanting the upgrade and more on how perfect the first ring is when you explain to him that you don’t want an upgrade.

@Courtneyashley:  There’s nothing wrong with choosing to not upgrade, just as there is nothing wrong with upgrading.  It’s a personal preference.  I’d just wait a bit, I bet he’ll accept the fact that you do not want to ever upgrade.  Enjoy your new ring!

@Courtneyashley:  I totally agree, I’d rather travel than have a big ring! And your ring is NOT small and it is gorgeous!

Don’t worry about it. Once life happens and there are other things to concern yourself with and spend money on, he’ll see that you are very content with your beautiful ring.

I find just saying so generally makes it fairly clear 🙂

Is there a reason he wouldn’t believe you?

@Courtneyashley:  I can see why! Very pretty! I think some guys take A LOT of pride in the ring and want it to be the “best.” It’s kinda sweet that he wants “the best” for you, but hopefully he starts to feel relief that it is absolutely perfect for you. 🙂

Your ring is so gorgeous! I can totally relate to this! I love my ring so much but my Darling Husband thinks it’s too small. My sisters all have huge diamonds. I honestly like mine better, but I think it’s a pride issue for guys. They want to give us the best. Men think so differently than women.
