“need” is a pretty strong word.

Doesn’t 2 ‘reallys’ make a ‘need?’ I thought I heard that somewhere. Tongue out What’s your guy’s argument against 2 bands?

You dont, if you want it bad enough, and can afford it easily… just tell him youre getting it.  No need to as ‘permission’.

I couldn’t convince mine. We did a single wedding band & ONE DAY I’d like to buy a second band.. maybe a 5 year anniversary or a baby present? We’ll see!

heck lady, come over during school holidays and i will give you some wifey what for lessons, my poor husband-i rang him from a store and said “honey im looking at this diamond eternity band” and walked back inside and ordered it 🙂

i think if you have to try really hard to convince him then its in the not now category – is he the type of guy to surprise you and buy it on the sly?

@eloping: He gave me the logic thing, which makes sense (AND IS SO FRUSTRATING!) 😉 We have a lot of other first home expenses coming up, so we’re saving the second band for somewhere down the track instead!
